Hey hey all,There was some discussion in our guild on how mitigation works when dealing with fighters. I was under the impression that it follows the rules of:
Mitigation = Level of Player vs. Opponent | Secondary Con of Opponent (Arrows/Epic) | Level of Armor | Class of Armor
The above isn't a formula, just what needs to be taken into consideration against an opponent. Yes?The reason that I'm asking this is because with there being different levels, classifications and effectiveness of armor as well as their relation to opponent level and opponent secondary con (i.e. Arrows and/or epic) ends up determining the result of the percentage of mitigation we achieve when combating an opponent.
Here's what I'm thinking: (Please correct me if I'm wrong)Level of Player vs Level of Opponent:Note: This is assuming the player is level 70
Red = Mitigation is significantly reducedOrange = Mitigation is greatly reducedYellow = Mitigation is slightly reducedWhite = Even MitigationBlue = Mitigation is slightly increasedGreen = Mitigation is greatly increasedGrey = Mitigation is significantly increased
Secondary Con of Opponent:Note: This is assuming that the opponent is same level as the player
Epic x4 = Mitigation is extremely reducedEpic x3 = Mitigation is very significantly reducedEpic x2 = Mitigation is significantly reduced3 Up Arrow = Mitigation is greatly reduced2 Up Arrow = Mitigation is reduced1 Up Arrow = Mitigation is slightly reducedEven = Even Mitigation1 Down Arrow = Mitigation is increase very slightly2 Down Arrow = Mitigation is increased slightly3 Down Arrow = Mitigation is increased significantly
Level of Armor (per level of player)Note: This would be the case IF all 14 levels of armor have the same mitigation. It is understood that typically armor gains in mitigation as it gains in levels.
Even to player = ??? (Assumption: Mitigation percentage drops at a significantly higher rate than normal over levels gained)

I think that it's safe to assume that we all understand that armor decays in effectiveness as we level. This is one of the reasons that keeps fighters on the lookout for new gear. The other reason is stats; whether it be extra mitigation or other stats that benefit which ever class we are playing at the time.Question #1:
The Setup:
Two guardians that are level 62 are comparing their gear.Guardian #1 has a full suit of T7 master crafted armorGuardian #2 Has a full suit of T6 legendary armor
Question:
Wouldn't Guardian #1 with T7 master crafted armor have a higher mitigation against a level 62 even con, white opponent than the Guardian #2 even though Guardian #2 has a full suit of legendary?

Question #2
The Setup:
Again two Guardians, but this time they are leveling from 60-70.Guardian #1 has a full suit of T7 master crafted armor and doesn't change his armor for all 10 levelsGuardian #2 has a full suit of T7 legendary armor and doesn't change his armor for all 10 levels
Question:
Would the mitigation value of Guardian #1 decay at a faster rate in comparison to Guardian #2 since there are a difference in the class of armor they are wearing?

I have searched the forums for information on the above questions and assumptions and couldn't find anything that is recent, so I felt that these questions were relavent and it would be interesting to hear the answer from the community. Thanks for your time,~Gladius FrogitusGuardian of Divine AuraNajenaPlease note that this isn't a post to show off what armor you have, nor is it a post that compares one class to another. I chose a Guardian in the examples because it is what I personally play as is not a slight towards ANY other fighter class. So please, in the sake of finding out information that could potentially help ALL fighter classes. Don't turn it into one of these types of threads. This thread is for informational purposes only.
