Hello , I have recently made a guardian. I WILL be power leveling(Having 70s mentor down to burn mobs fast etc etc) this charactor untill lvl 52 ( In my oppinion when the game gets fun). I want to Spec to be not only a good tank , but GOOD dps.( I know , im asking alot) Now most people would say just roll a zerker. Well , no thanks I do not want to roll a berserker. I simply love guardians. Can anyone help me out with the best DPS AA spec is? And what good DPS spells do we have besides blast and its upgrade? So , I guess my question is: Are guardians capable of doing good DPS? If so what AA spec do I need for it?

I think there are (on this page alone) 3-15 threads about AA specs... Thanks for opening a new one

STA Line for 76% double attack rate is the main form of dps from your AA's.

Mitigation debuff from WIS Line is nice.

STA 4,5,8,8

WIS 4,4,8,8

For passive dps boost (19%) and a bit more mitigation.

If you want to lose some tanking ability and go for more dps then you go for a str agi sta combo but then u lose a bunch of mit from the wis line. I'd go with what Halbarad said.

We have a non-tanking raid guard parsing around 900-1000 dps on str, sta, wis. Belly smash + crits are a fearsome combo. In all reality if you want dps mod and haste, recruit those classes into your group. they are too easy to get to waste AA's on em.

I have a 70 guard on butcherblock with 50 aa's I chose str 4-8-8, and wis 4-5-8, giving 19.2% dps mod, +10% hate gain, +22% chance to crit, and 300 mit. I use DW weapons to dps (oblivions edge [60ish dps], and the fabled dagger from Labs [60ish dps]) while hasted I parse on average 800 dps, but have broken 1000 before depending on de-buffs. While tanking I hit upwards of 600 dps using drakebone bludgeoner. (this is all on x2 and x4 raid mobs in labs, AoA x4, and DT)
