Dark or Light Chitin Rings?

<DIV>Im trying to decide on which rings to get for my guardian, even though im not near the lvl to use them yet i do like to have items well in advance.  Im just not sure which would be better for a guard to use.  Being a guard already gives me much higher avoidance than other tank classes, think im somewhere about 52% at lvl 32 with M1 defensive.  I can make an argument for either ring, +5 defense on the dark chitin will add decent avoidance when paired, but the mitigation bonuses are almost double for light chitin rings not to mention the other resists dark chitin doesnt even have.  Just curious as to what other guardians have found to be the most effective, since we already have a naturally higher avoidance im not sure if i should try to get the about 2% the +defense of dark  will grant or take the resists and mitigation on light chitin.  Any input from those that have a good argument either way would be much appreciated.</DIV>

<DIV>Easy answer farm that zone to you get 2 of each.  Until you get any raid loot the dark chitin rings a nice stat boost with a little mitigation added to it.  If you need all out mit then go both light chitins on best of both then one of each.  One more light ring is still evading me.</DIV>

Im not much for raiding, just looking to be good enough to tank for my guild and friends in heroic instances like HoF or similar.  As it stands im thinking mitigation and resists on the light are just a little better than the defense on dark because guards already have such high avoidance even when using a buckler (im going 4/5/8/8 sta 4/4/8/8 wis).  I may just farm for the lights and buy the darks even though they drop off the same mob since on butcherblock you can get dark chitin for 1-2pp each but light chitin costs over 7pp.  Stats on dark would be good for soloing but i wont do that much after i get to the point im tanking T7 instances so ive been thinking light chitin but the stats on dark are decent enough to not ignore.

I'd say starting out, 1 of each is good.  But once you start raiding a bit more, 2 Light Chitins would be more benefitial for the MIT and resists.<div></div>

Imo, resists are very important for a guardian. So 2 x light is what id say.<div></div>

As is stands right now, you'll likely be more tempted by the stats on the Darks but in the end it's better to get the extra mit and resists from the Lights.  There is no harm in farming two of each, but if you just want to get two I suggest the Lights.<div></div>

They both are so nice that i never thought about using my points for fabled rings.  Allthought that'll change now with the changes in Eof</DIV>

If you farm the light chitin rings you are going to end up having 2 dark anyway.  In my exp they drop a heck of a lot more then the light do<div></div>
