<DIV>Changed my main recently to be one our my guilds MT on raids and still got my free respec and am gonna use it to see what picks might be better now then back when I created this guy. Main thing I got in question and I believe I choose one of each atm is what is better the incombat power regens by 5 or the max health %. For every other person on a raid the power regen is a no brainer just wondered a bit with needed the hp if that % is the way to go. Also does crushing seem to be the most used melee skill by raid mobs it seems to be so far and guessing that should be my first choice on melee resistances.</DIV>

<DIV>who cares about power regen, thats what we have mages and bards for... if your a tank your concerns should be the most mita and HP you can get...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>as for the choice of crush/slash/peirce... i'd take crush...</DIV>

<DIV>Hp is always key. When it comes to raid tanking the high end targets you will most often die to spike damage and having those extra hp/mit are very important for surviving multiple 4-10k dmg blows. As for the vs crush idea, that is what most people go for and I think it is a good idea as well due to the fact that most mobs in the game do crushing damage or have an aoe component that is crushing based (as most physical based aoes are). HOWEVER, SoE has chosen to make some of the hardest encounters slash based: Chel'Drak and MO for epic encounters and if you do a lot of heroic stuff during non raid times, the final mob in Nizara is a slash based, so it doesn't hurt to have extra slash there. I don't think that it's an amazing idea to base your choice to get vs slash based on just a few encounters which is why I went for vs crush myself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ALSO, there are a lot of nice items that are vs slash that you can swap on to boost that mit up. On slashing mobs I can get my self buffed mit to fluctuate to a 78%slash 68%crush 69%pierce... it's a slash fight, u don't need the other things sittn there. Just play around with your stats, see what you can boost up etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All in all IMHO, go vs crush and hp boosts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by BetaMaster on <span class=date_text>09-07-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:27 PM</span>

<DIV>cheldrak is good example of hard hitting slash... MO on the other hand hits like a pansy...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>most mobs in the game hit for crush, or at least used too before todays update (haven't checked alot out yet)... like 3 mobs do pierce damage, to take that is kinda like buffing divine resists...</DIV>

<DIV>yea, MO himself is a wuss... but all the adds hit for slashing as well and 15 or so mobs hitting on you can add up, but yes you are right, MO is a panzy... just using it as an example</DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by BetaMaster on <span class=date_text>09-07-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:27 PM</span>
HP pool is very, very, very important. Much more important than anything to do with power, power pool, or power regen.. for Guard MTs.<div></div>
