I would get a normal T3 crafted tank helm (str, agi, sta - not sure about name atm) and then start harvesting in TS/Nek... When you hit 22, you can equip the mastercrafted version of that helm. You need a rare harvest: steel cluster and an armorsmith.Maybe there are some cheap legendary on the broker on your server as well.<div></div>

<div></div>You have a few options:- use some player made common or rare armor- the helm from the armor quest series that starts with Ian Cathlan in QH (if you're from Qeynos anyway)*- at level 20-24 you can do this quest for a helm <a href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/SpindlecogsNewJob.php" target="_blank">Spindlecog's New Job</a>- use whatever drop you find or can afford to buy on the brokerIt's hard to know which is the solution for you specifically.  I have no idea if this is your first toon, if you have cash to spend or are just starting out, if you play mostly solo or in groups (note: a group is essential for the armor quest series.  PITA quests but you get free armor for it).  Either way, I didn't worry very much about my gear at level 20.   Players used to level quite happily in non-rare player made armor.   It's rather cheap (cheaper than ever in fact) and will get you by.*edit: Treedog1 says there isn't a helm for this quest series.  My apologies.  I thought I did get a complete set from this, but I did it ages ago.  My memory must be failing.  This quest series will definitely get you all the other pieces of armor aside from a helm.<div></div><p>Message Edited by countjackula on <span class=date_text>09-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:34 PM</span>

I used crafted untill I could wear the Armor Quest ones.  Though that was long ago before rares were not so rare.  You might look for mastercrafted and suppliment with the AQ ones.

my advice for a helm is buy the cheap common handcrafted pristince carbonite vanguard helm at 20.do all the armour quests (which actually does not have a helm unless this just changed) AND do the spindle cog quest as mentioned above. it start in Baubleshire's bank, but you have to speak gnomish (buy primer at scribe in bauble). this is an ok helm and it's free but there is a lengthy quest to do and a perticularly rare bunch of mobs you need that happen to spawn near the ts docks.That being said, at 22 the mastercrafted steel vanguard helm is the way to go if you can find a Steel Cluster or you have enough to buy one.<div></div>
