Ascendant proc

<DIV>Ascendant claims to proc on 6% of strikes, yet I've been parsing this weapon on last several raids.  On last Lab's run i had 1989 slashing attacks and only saw Provoking Assault proc 9 times (expected value of 119 procs).  I had 8087 attacks if you include CA's (weapons can proc on CA's correct?) for an expected 485 procs.  I see these staggeringly low results EVERY raid I use this weapon.  The proc percentage *really* needs to be looked into.  I'd love it if someone else verified these findings, and help lend their voice to my /bug efforts.</DIV>

on your parse did it show it was 0 of 9 hits?  like most taunts it'll only show resists i think...

Youw ill see something like:  You try to confound %name% with %taunt%, but %name% resists.<BR>So the 9 Ascendant procs you saw were resists on the mob. Just so you know, Ascendant procs enough to hold agro with hardly any taunting and just be melee'ing with STA line (buckler line) like 1k DPS.</DIV>

Um where are you getting 6% of strikes from? The proc rate is 6% which means 3.2% per swing.<div></div>

Ascendant rarely procs for me.I've been eyeballing it by scrolling back after a fight and looking for the message, I'm lucky to get one proc on any non-epic-named fight.If I can find the time I'll kidnap a healer, swap out the buckler, find a lvl 70 heroic, then try to get some numbers.

IIRC when you proc Ascendant you get the emote "You taunt soandso with a provoking assault" or something along that lines. <div></div>
