Staggering Blow and Belly Smash

This is supposed to KB the target, stun the target amounf other things. It Also say it does not affect epic targets. Recently i went doen the WIS line and got Belly Smash and this spell requires the target to be knocked down before the debuff can be cast.To my suprise yesterday in labs Staggering Blow was not workign (eg i cannot knock them down) againt the trash mobs (are these trash count as "proper" epics?) so i did not use Belly Smash at all.So is Belly Smash usless in raiding? SInce we have no the skill to knock the target down.Or am i missing something?thanks

<P>I use a 66 damage rating 1hb when doing heroic groups because of the huge mit debuf from belly smash.  But when raiding, I just use a higher damage slasher since I cant consistantly land that ability.</P> <P> </P> <P>There are a few clases (ranger at least) that can knock down epic mobs.  When they knock them down, you can hit them with Belly Smash.  Takes a bit of coordination though.</P>
