<DIV> <DIV>im completely in the dark about this. i want to follow a god that aides me as a guardian play-wise. i know that worshipping gods will benefit a character, but as someone that cares little to nothing about lore, i dont know where to begin with 8 different kinds of gods. i see this website recommended on another thread on these forums <A href="http://lorenorrath.free.fr/" target=_blank>http://lorenorrath.free.fr/</A> where the gods (left side, second column down) are described, but its not helping me decide too much. i mean, it looks like rallos zek is an obvious choice, but honestly i cant tell if there will be anything negative about considering any of the others. if anyone can give advice, it is appreciated.</DIV></DIV>

I think you are mixing up EQ1 and EQ2...There are no gods anymore at the moment in EQ2.So there is no way of worshipping one (apart from roleplaying of course <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )Lore wise it went like this:The mortals (EQ1 players) become to powerful, so the gods decided to departure from Norrath. The war that arose destroyed Luclin btw (one of the two moons over Norrath). There are signs the gods (or some of them) might return though... <div></div>

Or from a practical one?If we're talking roleplay, that depends on your home city, and what your character believes in and stands for. I would suggest speaking to each of the new NPCs in game (there are currently eight of them, with a ninth still not found - presumably, he/she will become available after some kind of server event, but this is still unclear), and get a feel for who they are. You can make an informed choice from there. If you're talking about who to pick to make yourself the best guardian you can be - well, until we find out what the benefits each god offers, your guess is as good as mine. My advice would be to wait until the NDA is lifted for EoF (usually around a month or so before the expansion is released) and wait for the spoilers to be posted, approximately 1.7 minutes after this happens. <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span></div>

Just based on what I know about the gods from EQ1, you will likely want to pick Rallos Zek on Freeport side or Mithaniel Marr on the Qeynos side. This is all speculation though since their benefits have not been published.

<DIV>I'm kind of dissapointed,</DIV> <DIV>I am an Ogre Guardian and have always Worshiped Rallos Zek as my master ever since nov '99</DIV> <DIV>I betrayed from freeport at the start of my days in eq2 because I found lucan to be arrogant, no leader of mine.  I fled the city to one day come back and kill him.  Qeynos was my only other choice, so I went there which became very profitable for me being the only Ogre warrior in those parts.</DIV> <DIV>But now that my decision is going to keep me from worshiping my true master I feel saddened.  I would betray back to Freeport for the opportunity to follow Rallos again but that would cost me a loss of all my masters that I've collected.  If only there were a way for me to transfer over from good guardian to evil guardian w/o a book reset due to these special unseen changes in the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Abomidable</DIV> <DIV>~Lords of the Triple Moons</DIV>

you could live in exile. not lose any of your spells and worship whoever you want.

Beta - betray when the L80 expansion comes out in Spring 07?Then your Master hit is minimised, as noone has masters for 71-80.While betraying also gives a respec, don't know if God choices can be changed though... it would make sense, since if you're going evil you should be able to change to an evil god.Anyways, the existing good quest is nice... you can get a +470 hp max hp boost for 60 mins from the reward item from the Valor quest given outside the Graveyard in CL zone.

The deity system will be faction-based, so I imagine if you betray, you will have whatever the base-level faction with the gods of your new city and negative with those of your old.  The safest bet is to worship a neutral god, but at present that will only be Brell and Solusek Ro.I plan to have my ogre guardian worship Rallos Zek, though one should recall that Rallos isn't that happy with the ogres anymore.  After all that has been done to the ogres (e.g Green Mist) perhaps Innoruuk would be a better RP deity...Before they raise the level cap, they have some serious work to do.  There are spell lines that never got a T7 update from T5.  That indicates the present system already doesn't scale well to 70.<div></div>

<DIV>Yea some of those spells just didn't seem to be right to upgrade, such as Amends, 41% transfer from another class to the paly, that is already a high number so I guess they figured to not add another... what they could have done was add an extra compontent to the skill, like take their hate and put an aggro proc on themself or something.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for the hp item, yep I already have it, brings me up to 14200hp pre-bolster, lovin it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Abomidable</DIV> <DIV>~Lords of the Triple Moons</DIV>

Yeah, Amends is a good example, 41% at M1 and 39% at Adept3, since the 'adjustment' by Sony. The ranger hate dump skill I think is similar. I sold a L48-50ish Master for like 20 plat since there was nothing replacing it and it was rare.It would be really cool if Amends at higher levels had some additional effect, but who knows, maybe the subclass-specific AAs will see more interesting specialities for all tanks. And then there's maybe new special skills in T8 in 6-9 months...

They already stated that some skill lines will see a natural end where upgrading them would lead to insane amounts... Amends is one example. FD is another one I think. The special skills from the expansions (Reinforcement, Tower of Stone, Sentry Watch / Obliterate) aren't considered spell lines so won't see any upgrades soon.<div></div>
