Weapons Macro

<DIV>I have looked through forums quite a bit and haven't been able to find much on this. I am a guardian and I duo with Fiancee quite often. When duoing I frequently use dual wield for most things, then Sword and shield for Nameds. Problem I am having is I cant find a good way to swap between weapons. I cant use the hotbars as it just keeps swapping out my primary weapon. Any suggestions? Any Macros I can make possibly or something? <DIV>not sure if you can do it i a macro or not, but you can in the hot bars.  The way you do it is like this....when the weapon is in your inventory (not equipped), drag it to your hotbar.  If you drag the weapon from where it is when it is equipped, is when it doesn't work.</DIV>

I use a dedicated hotbar that has all my weps and shields on it.  When I want to switch I just hit the button and as long as it is in a bag it auto equips, no macro needed.<p>Message Edited by a6eaq on <span class=date_text>07-11-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:59 PM</span>

<DIV>Also, you have to be careful using the weapons in your hot bar.  In the heat of the battle the other day, I some how clicked on the button to equip a weapon, and went to click on a mob, when a confirmation to destroy the weapon popped up.  The "yes" was directly over where the mob was that I almost clicked on.  I must have dragged the button a little, and the game thought I was trying to drop the weapon on the ground.</DIV>

<DIV>I've done that.. just tried again in fact.. and when I have Sword and Shield equipped and then click a Dual Wield weapon.. it equips it in Primary.. but when I click my 2nd Dual wield weapon.. instead of replacing the Shield it just replaces my Dual wield that just equipped in y main hand</DIV>

Unfortunately.</P> <P>The engine equips an item in the first slot the item fits in. And that is primary. The same mechanics you can see in the ring, wrist and activatable slots.</P> <P>The only way to change from shield+board to dual wield is to un-equip the shield first...</P> <P>OR -> Equip 2H -> Equip 1st DW -> Equip 2nd DW</P>

hehe that was what I ended up trying and settling on last night actually.. I just swap to a 2hander then over to Dual Wield. Seems it will go to offhand as long as nothing is equipped there, otherwise goes to Main Hand
