Getting all of your skills to adept 3 would be ideal, but your offense/defensive stances and anything that has to do with generating hate should take priority. I would get Rescue to master 1 asap. Group buffs help out a lot to have at adept 3, but can do ok without. When you hit lvls that offer a specialized training, I always took the group taunt since it will put it at Master 2.

<DIV><STRONG>For Group:</STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. As a tank you want to make sure your taunts and defensive stance is maxed first. (ADP3, MST1, MST2)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. Then make sure to get your group buffs and other spells to at least adept1.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Then work on your damage attacks/spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another important thing to consider is your armor, and level choices.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. If your tanking, pure mit and STA is best. However other stats will give you more versitility.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. Make sure to choose things that give you tanking ability first: STA and STR are good tanking choices. (STR to hit the mobs with CA to keep aggro) As well as any upgrades to parry/defense/power pool.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Be constantly on the lookout for new armor to make yourself better.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Weapons play an important role too:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. Keep your skills maxed (slashing/crushing) You never know when a good crushing weapon will come along. And you'll want to wield it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tanking is more than good spells, good armor, and good weapons. Tanking is controling the group, the enviroment and the mobs to meet a goal. Most of this time this goal is simply XP, though quests and loot are also important goals.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck out there.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>For solo:</STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You need to have EVERYTHING MAXED. You need to study the mob/quest you'll be doing. And read examples of how others have completed your goal. You need to think up a strategy (or find one online), and when that fails, you need to get a new one and try again. You need to watch the mob and react to its spells/CA with stuns or counterspells of your own (E.X. my monk geta 1 dispell to use during the fight, I need to know what the best spell the mob has and save my dispell to counter that spell) You need to be aware of your surroundings. And be prepared to react to changing situations.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck! Soloing is tough, but perserverance will win the day.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dynamicman out...</DIV>
