<DIV>Hiya, I came to this forum to ask what everyones opinion of a raiding guild that asks you to reroll your guardian in favor of another class. Are having 2 or more guardians in a raid too much?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I say you have the wrong guild my friend. A guild leader asking you to reroll another toon without the pretense of you wishing to play another toon is redicilous. Best of luck to you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Naldir Veglarn</DIV> <DIV>69 SK for the New Outriders of Mistmoore</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>P.S. expect about 6 pages of complaints if certian ppl see this post about the guardians being useless. There should always be room for at least 2 guardians in a raid for MT/back-up taking/off tanking purposes and DPS</DIV>

Id say find another guild with 1 or 0 guardians already in it...And yes more then 1 guard on a raid is a wasted spot UNLESS theres just no other "dps" class to fill the spot, or its a fight requiring dual tanking.

<P>What type of raiding guild would invite a player to guild based on thier toon. Then tell them to reroll? Makes no sense. </P> <P>Generally though i do find 2 raiding guards in a guild combersome. Its not because 2 guards in guild is to much its because somewhere down the line eventually someone will whine and moan because they think the other guard tanks more etc. So since our current guard and guild leader is on everynight. There is no need to bring the drama in guild. One guard equals no one complaining on who is the Real Deal.</P>

<DIV>Does your guild raid very often? Are they online often? What level are you?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Perhaps another raid could be organized at a time when one of the other guards is gone, so that your guild can hit more mobs.</DIV> <DIV>I know that at level 50 there are over 20 different raid mobs we can hit that would give us rewards(some are bad but hey, twink-fodder /cash is always good.)  If your guild's 2 guards are already clearing those all out than you might be in the wrong guild. But if there are ones your missing, you might be able to get raids going for those.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just a thought.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dynamicman out...</DIV>

<P>Sounds like my guild. </P> <P>3 Guardians, 4-5 Pally's, 1 SK. Doing LAB with x4 group and one group is all plate classes. It is rediculous and people whine on how we wipe so much, coz we dont have the right classes. When an officer SUGGESTED on considering to re roll their toons, it all got heated up. People suggest recruiting more people : not the best answer. We get more people ( the needed classes ) in our guild, then where does the 5-7 plate tanks goes that refuses to re roll but dont want to leave the guild ( " I've done so much in this guild). We are already having trouble just gearing up the MT and MA. Can't please everybody...sigh</P>

<DIV>Just me but you might want to spread out the plate a little more <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Try 1 pally in each group. With amends on your wizzy. Then the wizard can go all out DPS, and if the aggro bounces around alot its no big deal (LoH, plate, wards)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3 guards is a bit much.  If they really want to all tank try seeing if you can have 3 raids on saturday nights?(not sure how your raids work)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Enlighten me: does labs have a lock-out timer?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If not: you can have 3 raids, all saturday could be lab raiding time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If the guards are so happy with the guild, i'm sure one can be convinced that re-rolling is a good idea.  Do you need another templar?  Very similar to guards IMHO and easily twinked.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dynamicman out...</DIV>

<DIV>It understand the part about not being MT, and not getting first crack at MT fabled. Im asking this question emperically. 4 Guardians seems like too much. 2? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You may get the sense that I dont play a guardian and you would be right. There is some drama in my guild involving *how* many plate tanks should we have? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It doesnt seem quite right that there should be ONLY one guardian. They bring no other mitigation and buffs that are beneficial to MA or other non-MT groups?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This seemingly hard-nosed approached even permeates our ONE paladin, and ONE SK, making them extort the virtues of their class and recognize *they* are in excess (for plate tanks)</DIV><p>Message Edited by hornung on <span class=date_text>04-18-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:37 PM</span>

Realistically speaking. 2-3 plate tanks is duoable on a raid. Just as long as they are 3 different classes. Guardian, Pally, Zerker. If you read the forums there is a thread about our job (GUARDIANS) if we are not MT. Not really a lot of option, maybe if there is a spot open but another dps or utility class will offer more on that spot. Dont be a fool and open yer eyes...grudge and animosity among the same classes in the raid will create drama specially on the tanking position. If you love the guild so much, why not consider helping it out and re roll so your guild can raid better and raid more higher content. just my 2 cents

<DIV>with that many tanks it'll make it hard to ocmplete raids...  your options are, recruite the classes you need (guess who sits out first)...  reroll and help your guild...  leave for another guild...  thats the brutal truth...</DIV>

Guardians only have one role. We can not effectively do anything else. If your not picked for MT and your guild either doesn't use a back up tank or they use another class for it then your only going to be present if there is an opening that they can not fill.
