<div></div><div>Seems that my Sentry Watch Master 1 aint working properly...I dont rez, I dont get a buff, I dont get nothing out of it.</div><div> </div><div>I activate it, it shows it on buff screens and when I die, I stay dead. Tested it on spiders that had Sentry Watch also, and they do rez properly.</div><div> </div><div>Is the Master 1 Sentry Watch broken? Can any of you check it out?</div>

<div></div>I never bought this spell, but as I understand it, it intercepts damage that would have killed an <u>ally</u> in your group, not damage that would kill you.

<div></div><p>I've got it, I've never used it a single time.</p><p>--  you lose aggro, someone in your group is gonna die</p><p>-- you cast Sentry Watch....when they do die it heals them for a bit instead, and CASTS REINFORCEMENTS on them???  Thereby giveing more aggro to the person you didn't want aggro on to start with???</p><p> </p><p>Only time it seems usefull is if your in the MT group and your not the MT...</p>

<div></div><div></div><p>Sentry Watch (Master I)</p><p>Allows the guardian to intervene and take the damage that would have otherwise killed an ally in the group for a short duration.  This also increases the enemy's hate towards the guardian when this effect triggers.</p><p>Effects:</p><ul><li>When target dies this spell will cast Sentry Watch Guard on target. Lasts for 15.0 seconds.</li><ul><li>100% chance to intercept all damage on target. On a successful intercept caster takes 84% of attack damage. target takes 1% of attack damage</li><li>When target is damaged this spell will cast Reinforcement on target's attacker.</li><ul><li>Increases threat priority of target by 1 position</li><li>Increases Threat to target by 285</li></ul><li>Heals target for 8% of max health</li></ul></ul><p>Keep in mind that 'target' in the above Effects: description is the group member, and the description is relative to the guardian.  In other words, "Increases threat to target by 285" means "Increases the guardian's threat to target by 285".</p><p>The way this works:</p><ol><li>you see a group member (or members) get agro</li><li>cast Sentry Watch</li><li>mob hits a group member with enough damage to kill the group member</li><li>84% of the damage hits the guardian, 1% of the damage hits the group member</li><li>group member is healed for 8% of their max health</li><li>Guardian is moved up 1 spot on the mob's threat list</li><li>Guardian gains 285 threat to the mob.</li></ol><p>Keep in mind that this is a Group targeted spell.  You cast Sentry Watch, and it's a buff on the group for 30 seconds.  When someone takes death damage, they get a new buff on them called Sentry Watch Guard.  For the next 13 seconds, every time they get hit, you take the damage, move up one spot on that mob's agro list, and gain 285 hate.  Sentry Watch Guard can fire off multiple times during the 30 seconds and on multiple group members.</p><p>Message Edited by Bhuhdiy on <span class="date_text">03-25-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:41 PM</span></p>

i actually used this to save my group the other day..it was wonderful.I was 60 in Sanctum of the scale, 63 Zerker tanking cos it was my third SoS group of the day and i was feeling lazy.We get a bad pull, not his fault, just happened that way with pops.  So things are going south .. i pop SW.. he "dies"..it heals him, transfers agro to me and i intercept all his damage. It killed me of course, but gave the group enough time to heal him up and when iwent down he regained agro and finnished the encounter.It onlky worked so well because i wasnt tanking, i was able to save the tank, avoid the wipe and the only one who died was me.  Worked great there, but honestly its a waste of a spell as you can only use it VERY rarely and if I had been the tank in that position we would have wiped.<div></div>

<div></div><p>i think for a guardian any spell isnt usefull where the guardian takes a certain amount of damage without a mitigation check. even grey mobs can kill you that way when the guardian looses aggro or isnt tanking like in your group.</p><p> </p><p>again a spell in the intercede line which is useless.. wonder if this line ever get fixed to make it usefull again to us</p>

<div></div><p>Well I did finally buy this spell, and found it truly useful last night for the first time.  2 Guardians and a Cleric were fighting down to finish up a quest deep in Sanctum, we skirted around a couple mobs and the Cleric lagged behind bringing a couple of encounters with her.  The Cleric went down really fast, before we could really get back to her, and the only thing I really had time to do was fire off Sentry Watch as I ran towards her.  Cleric lost consciousness, rezzed and was healed not once, but twice by this spell before we regained control.</p><p>Now I've played around with it on raids, and as stated above, if this spell intercepts death damage, the guardian will die, hate transfer doesn't happen of course (the guardian is now dead) and the person you were trying to save dies anyway.</p>

<div></div><div></div><p>"Worked great there, but honestly its a waste of a spell as you can only use it VERY rarely and if I had been the tank in that position we would have wiped."</p><p>Ehhhh no, Sentry Watch is very very useful when MT'ing in groups, I don't know how many times doing instance runs in Den and Sepulcher where we'd get like 4+ encounters on us at the same time and some conj or wizard pulls agro and I'm stunned or stifled or Reinforcement is down or I'm just too lazy to taunt off them. Pop that spell on, boom I get all their agro.</p><p>Obviously it's not a raid MT spell, but Reinforcement and Tower of Stone are awesome raid abilities so you can't really complain.</p><p>Message Edited by WardenOfDoom on <span class="date_text">04-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:16 PM</span></p>

<div></div><p>The intercept is not much of a problem since mob aggro usually will move back to you after one hit.</p><p>The main problem I have with this spell is to time the use of it.. 30 secs is not long when the healers are desperately trying to keep someone alive. Can be very hard to predict time of death <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p> </p>

<div></div><p>ehh i use this CA alot actully...  HO needs an arm this is my first choice (fast cast time and its like always up)...  then click it off right away...  if i'm doing my job then nobody should be getting agro in a group setting...  i'm MT for raids and umm, if someone in my group really wants to die i let em (they gonna die in the next 5 secs cause i'll be dead)...</p>

<div></div>I only use this spell when we get adds outside of group we are fighting  and they jump on healers or casters ,this works great this way  also in conjunction with guardian sphere .
