Yes a new expansion is out and its time to play the "Which of my characters do I like?" lotto once again. Round and round the wheel goes : IS it guardian, is it templar... oh the excitement of having absolutely NO idea one day to the next what you gonna be able to do tomorrow <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div></div><p>Did the proc nerf hit rangers so hard? I hunted in KoS this evening solo and with my wife an Assassin. Nothing at all seemed different.</p><p>Well, other than all the orange con stuff that killed me many times as I ran around and looked at stuff. I found a zone in the Windisland place that has all 65x2 stuff at the zone. I tried to peek around the corner to see what was in the big room but kept getting myself hurt bad. Killed even.</p>
<div></div><div>Proc hit ranges hard but not /that/ hard. It mostly hurt their posion and not many other abilities. If you were being out damage by a guardian learn to use something other then auto attack, also get a faster bow over a slower one since it will give you more chances to score critical hits.</div>
Concerning DPS, has anyone considered the new procs on imbued rings? An imbued ring of strength will proc a DPS increase and an imbued ring of agility will proc haste. The two together are quite similar to a longer duration berserk buff. I have found that even with the low proc rates, they seem to trigger often enough to make a difference.

<div>I plan on logging on tonight to find out how the changes affected my guard. Out of curiosity, what does the imbued Stamina buff now give you?</div><div> </div><div>I don't have an agility ring but may think about getting one if it gives a haste...how much % ? Anybody know? </div>
<div><blockquote><hr>Sirlutt wrote:Tonight, me 59 Ranger and a 56 Guardian, she was matching or exceding my DPS in Kos.Looks like my 50 Guard is movin up.<div></div><hr></blockquote>There is no way this can be true. In my opinion is no way a level 60 guardian DPS can even compare to a level 60 ranger, you can even make that a level 55 ranger. If anyone notice anythign like this please post, because it is just impossible.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Zodian</div><div> </div>

I have no idea if two of the same could proc and stack. They all seem to have a 45 second duration.Strength (vanadium):3% chance+ 21 str+ 26% DPSAgility (vanadium):3% chance+ 21 agi+ 22% hasteIn comparison to a berserk proc, at adept 3 it is +21% to both DPS and haste for 10 seconds, and at master 2 it is +25% to both for 10 seconds. This might be a nice little boost.</span></div>

<div></div><p>i agree, seems fishy.</p><p>Still, if DPS is going up for Guards, it can only be a good thing. But ranger DPS...way too high. If it's that high, it needs to be brought under control.</p>

We were both around the 200 DPS mark alot of the time .. in truth i was usually ahead.. but never by more than 50 DPS ..I'm not exagerating though .. she was right up there with me on DPS .. it was scary.. the only time i pulled ahead was using my long recast high damage abilities.Tonight i took on a 66^^^ with a group .. Warlock, Dirge, Troub, Warden, Ranger(Me), Zerker. Orange for all of us... highest DPs was the warlock with 121... troub 82, dirge 77, zerker 59, me 28, warden 12 ..dont look at the size of the numbers.. look at the order.. the differences. ..and heres why.Pre LU20Bow Speed/3* %procPoison = 7/3 * 25 = 58.3% - yes thats right a 58% chance to proc poison off every attack.Offensive Stance = 7/3 * 30 = 70% - yup.. 70.Add in to that the fact that if the stance hits, it can proc poison... so quite often you'd see CA + poison + offensive proc + poisonThats not even taking into account the proc on the bow. (5% which is 11.6%)and multi hit CA's can hit for each strike. So the real culprit there is the stance .. IMO it shouldnt be able to proc poison, and it should be checked first, if it procs then poison cant so you cant have both proc... and lower the % on both by 10%ok fast forward to today.. it now works like this.CA speed /3 * %procso for poison its now 12.5% .. so 58 to 12.5 ... offensive proc is 15% ... 70% to 15% .. thats the kind of hit the damage took.I dont think you'll find many Rangers who will say that we werent over powered .. but the drop in damage was pretty significant .. its put us down into the lower parts of T2 DPS ... all while i get to watch a conjuror solo a group of 64^ solo mobs... without takin a hit...anyhow.. long story short.. Ranger shelved .. Guardian on the up. He's just more fun to solo.</span></div>

SOE knows this, so they nerfed them.</p><p>I quit playing the Guard, so they got beefed up.</p><p>Simple, really.</p><p>I'm playing a zerker/fury/assassin now. Just you watch.</p>
