What class is currently MainTanking your raids? I was Tanking the raids b4 the LU13 and doing well till we stopped to lvl up and had a guild merge with a smaller guild then had a paladin Tanking. i have moved on and now in a bigger raiding guild and now currently a Berserker is Tanking the raids. I thought Guards were used for something and now we are nothing. We only tank a max of 3 fighter classes in our raids and there are alot of people missing out. What are Guards for now? they say that we would be still MainTanks but i dont see it happening again.Who is Tanking your raids?<div></div>

<div></div><p>Im a Berserker, so sorry if Im posting in the Guardian Forum <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>If ya ask me, Guardian and Berserkers are nearly equal (some differences need some different strategies), as long as the Equipment is the same. But IMHO it doesnt matter if a Guardian or a Berserker is the tank, its more an issue of how good the player is behind the toon.</p><p>Im MT in my Guild and I know different Raidcoms where a Berserker tanks, but I also know Raidcoms/Guilds where a Guardian is the MT or even a Paladin.</p><p>You just have to prove them, that you are the better tank then the other <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<div>We have a number of well equipped excellent Zerkers in our guild, and still no one can tank like I (Guardian) can...Our Plant line/and new improved Wall of **skill line, tower of stone, reinforcement, and 30second mitigation buffs make the Guard Unparreled in MT situations. Other classes can MT raids, but I have yet to find a situation where a Guardian is not better suited to it. Assuming of course the gear is equal, and you have the resist gear to make that a non issue as well.</div>

<div>we use a guard most of the time (me), when I'm not tanking a zerker is, we had a bruiser tank lockjaw the other day cause we we're bored.</div>

<div></div>we've used paly, zerker, and guard as MT... all 3 of us take hits about equaly... they have better agro though =(... do we even count LJ as needing a tank??? i mean we've let our swashy tank it...

Pre LU13 all other Fighters (including Guardians) could do (sometimes serious) dps though, so they (we) did not feel like a wasted spot <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

We know the other classes as well. We know painfully well the woes of our chosen class.</p>

That we all are the same at raid tanking...Guardians STILL have an (even slim maybe but visible) </span>advantage at raid tanking.We have a harder / more challenging time to tank for exp groups - but when it comes to the big orange named mobs... you want a guardian - until your raid/guild is so well equipped that it decides: /r tonight the (/ran 1 6 -> 5) Shadow Knight MT's.Of course we need fixes... Because, as you state - which is correct - a Guardian not tanking is USELESS - they have nothing to add (especially after tower of stone - intercede MT doesnt work anymore)<div></div>

If you have a hard encounter to beat, you use the best equipped Tank... if all tanks are equal, you choose the Guard.If you trivialize an encounter, like Lockjaw, you start /random who MT's him.</span><div></div>

Golithan let the zerker tank (cold autoattack), PPR let the paly tank (Wrath of the Djinn hurts), Sunchild let the guard tank (heat and high melee damage)... once you get geared up then any tank can tank anything...</p>
