View Full Version : I have Idea to run past my trusted peers

<div></div><div><span><font color="#ffffff"><p><span>First of all I have played my guardian for over a year now and like him very much.  I have seen many posts calling for nerf this class or that class because they can solo blah blah mobs.  I am not writing this post with the intent that this becomes that kind of thread, so please don't take it that direction. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I have your average legendary gear with a couple of fabled items.  My items are visible on my EQ2 Players if anyone is curious.</span></p><p><span>I have been able to solo heroic ^^^ greens with ease.  I have even been able to solo heroic ^^ blues and whites in sinking sands (however even though they are weaker heroics they still take about a 1/2 hour to kill).  I accept the fact that I made a group oriented fighter, that was my intention in the first place.  I play my guard with a group of RL friends and wouldn't have it any other way.</span></p><p><span>I see lots of people asking for guardian improvements.  Most of which consist of better DPS for solo, and different utility. <span> </span>I had a couple of ideas that I wanted to run past the community. <span> </span>This is not meant to start any flames, so please don’t do that. <span> </span>However input from all is wanted, encouraged, and welcome. (even Gaige <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> j/k buddy)</span></p><p><span>1. DPS: <span> </span>Decrease the reuse timers by about 25%, I don't mind not doing massive amounts of damage, I just hate sitting there for up to 30 seconds sometimes waiting for something to become useable.  </span></p><p><span>2. Intercept utilities: I like some of our intercept lines, I use guardian sphere and all of those, I just think that if they had a chance to intercept hate that would be infinitely more useful than damage.  Like assuage for example, I like that it reduces the hate gained by the person it is on (helps a lot sometimes) but it would be nice if it had a % chance of transferring the hate from an attack to the guardian. <span> </span>An example would be;</span></p><p><span>Target 1 group member, concentration-1</span></p><p><span><span>o<span>        </span></span></span><span>Decrease hate gain of target by 21%</span></p><p><span><span>         §<span>         </span></span></span><span>5% chance of transferring hate of any action that produces hate performed by the target to the caster.</span></p><p><span><span>o<span>        </span></span></span><span>Provide target a 30% chance to re-roll avoidance check using the caster’s avoidance.</span></p><p><span>And maybe having a Guardian sphere type of hate siphon that works for a short duration. <span> </span>Kind of like a group rescue but not quite.<span>  </span>The hate generated by the group would determine the amount of hate the guardian gets. <span> </span>(I hate situations where the healer pulls agro off of me and I can’t get it back because the more they get hit, the more they heal and more hate is generated. <span> </span>This would be a time to use that to pull that hate back to you)</span></p><p><span></span> </p><p><span>Just a couple of Ideas I had, I don’t post much so please be gentle.</span></span></p></font></div>

DPS wise I thin you are asking for a world of hurting having SOE play with you CA's. I think a better solution is to have them up your DPS while in offencive stance. This limites the damage they could do with playing with your CA's. Plus most fighters CA's work off a 30 second timer and this would cause other class envy which always becomes a battle between classes.I also think SOE will stay away from siphons. They seem to be very hard to adjust for. Take Pally's for instances. 1st they do way too much then way too little. I think SOE is happier with hard numbers. I think you HTL should be changed from 50% on hit to 25% of ever swing and that should help your taunts. SOE also needs to revise taunts being resisted for all taunting classes (even the scouts).<span><span><font color="#ffffff"></font></span></span><div></div>
