<div></div><div>hey there,</div><div>I play a 60 guard and im Raidleader for my guild i have 16/20 skills at master 1 one master 2 spell and 1 of my ancients spells at master rest are ad3 gear wise im missing a few slots of full T6 instanced raid gear for armour. T5 fabled and T6 legandary jewlery, wpns and shield a mix of T6 fabled and legandary</div><div> </div><div>I went into the obelisk of lost souls going to check borxx to see if he was up, get into the maze and the door was shut, so i start looking for the named shade prowler you need to kill to open the door......i find it its a grey lvl 45^^^heroic think this should be cake it killed me in less than a minute ...</div><div>so i reveive and think hmm ill try dual wield and see if i can beat it down before its disease dot kills me again, so i put my resist gear on and use a T6 legandary potion to further buff my disease / poison .........it killed me again in offensive stance dual wielding and having used sevral legandary T6 potions.</div><div>So rather shame facedly i asked my mate (60pally) if he'd come help me kill this mob in obelisk, so he says sure ill come over, he arrives and then proceeds to laugh his head off that one of the best geared (eqip / spells) guards on the server got kiilled by a grey lvl 45^^^ heroic. he says lemme see if i i can take it ....i said sure why not ........he killed it no problems for him at all.</div><div> </div><div>He leaves at this point, i carry on down to the ring event ...OMG 6 tries and 6 fails because the encounter restes after x amount of time and i cant kill them fast enough...</div><div> </div><div>Dual wielding offensive stance using my G.E.B's manastone and a T6 legandary power regen potion.... i kill first round easy enough then its 2 named nighbloods i kill the first and im oop i get to about 30-40% health on the second and it resets the encounter.</div><div> </div><div>So for all the people who belive the fighter class's are balanced if you dont play a guard and you can kill the named to open the door without dying and you can complete the ring event in its alloted time, then we are not balanced</div><div>In fact for all the others who come read our boards i'd like you to go try it and see if you experiance any of the problems i did with my lvl60 ubaah guardian beacuse i know for a fact ANY of the other fighter class will be able to kill the named and not die, and be doing enough damage to complete the ring event in its alloted time</div><div>So are we Balanced ?</div><div> </div><p>Message Edited by TheEasternKing on <span class="date_text">01-15-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:29 AM</span></p>
<div></div>It's probably better you didn't kill it, as it would have dropped a moss snake scale <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div></div><p>LOL</p><p>Unfortunatly you have to kill it, to be able to reach the lower levels where the raid mob is, otherwise i wouldnt be wasting my time trying to defeat grey ring events and showing myself up in the process <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<div></div><p>ehh i did the same thing yesterday... that labrinth shadow took me to 25% (said that in /gu and got laughed at).. the ring event ehh just a long boring fight... was oop midway threw the first of the NB's so just auto attacked it dead with PGT + SBD (hey its the only 2 duel weild i had on me)...</p><p>i didn't take any potions, and used the fbss as my belt... but the fact that a mob 15 lvls lower than me was really givin me a run for my money =/... want a challenge go try BoF in SE (my best is getting him to 37%)...</p><p>Wabit</p>

<div></div>I know this doesn't affect your DPS, but you should really not be wearing T5 fabled over T6 legendary crafted. Thankfully this won't be an issue with KoS.

The strange thing is that about a month ago i ventured in too get runes, and though the 45 shadow was though, i got it with about 15% health left.More even, the ring event i went trough at extreme low pace, sind i wanted to keep power levels for the final ring Named. It didnt reset on me.So either your tactics are flawed, your unlucky, or they updated something in mean time.Further, Triggered events have the stupid tendency to reset if you enegage them after someone else triggered them, could that have happened?Muscles, 60 Guardian on Splitpaw<div></div>

Im one of the few people in my guild that has all access to OoLS (one of the coolest zones in the game that really deserved to have more time spen on it), ive been in OoLS many times. The named shade prowler can be killed with me afk, not sure why you're having such a hard time with it. I stay in offensive stance for the fight and use a 2h cobalt executioner's axe. Its a minor inconvenience at best.Looked up your toon on eq2players, my stats arent much better than yours. For the life of me i cant figure out how any 60 Guard would have trouble with this mob or any other in OoLS. I did die in OoLS the last time i went in there, but thats because i tried to take Borxx with a group of 4, (60 Guard, 60 Mystic, 54 Templar, 52 Necro)... we didnt do that bad considering.<div></div>

<div></div><p>whats your poison and disease resist at??? its an SK mob so the noxious resist help some... the melee damage is laughable... i'm useing offensive stance with 1H + haste shield (soloing everything else its more dps than the 2H with fbss)...</p><p>hmm maybe i'll go dig out the trash resist gear i used when DoF first came out (gotta love a robe wearing guardian cause it had high disease resist on it)...</p><p>Wabit</p>

<div></div>Your DPS wasn't the problem on the two nightbloods, you killed the wrong one first.

<div></div>resist gear is so essential for tanks period surprised you didnt put alot on to make it a trivial mob went and did it when i read this and killed it with 65% hp left my poison is 5100 self and disease 3800 i also timed my intercepts on it spells to make a difference. Wasnt hard really but a longer fight than id like guardians just need to come with a captain ever shifting voulge when created np proc love ftw would make things little eaiser if it would ever drop.

<div></div><p>Well im happy for all of you that can do this encounter, i find it especially amusing that a lvl60 guard maxed his poison /disease and could kill a lvl44/45 ^^^ heroic............ that is my whole point do you really belive that any of the other fighter class's have to max the resists out to kill this grey mob ?</p><p> its dot usually hits me for 300 per tick every 2-4 sec's at lvl60 with 2300 ish disease and 2700 poison..... i usually am oop by the time i got it to its last 25% of health and its usually the dot that kills me when the mobs still has about 5-10% health</p><p>And as for the comment about killing in the wrong order its a ring event and has such it has no order, however it does have a timer to reset it if its not completed in x amount of time. you dont belive me go try the encounter and dont kill the second nightblood see how long start to finish the timer is for the encounter resetting</p>

Having no dps makes it very unfair when we try to solo ANYTHING. Monks do all kinds of cool stuff in raids, but out of raids they get solobility. Zerks do all the same stuff we do in raids and more, but outside raids they get a little more solobility. What benefit does guardian get to make up for having no solobility. Anyone? Anyone?<div></div>

<div></div><p>Tunaboo wrote:</p><p>What benefit does guardian get to make up for having no solobility. Anyone? Anyone?</p><hr>umm... I know I know! I got this one! We can explode our own heart (I never bothered to get this piece-o-crap ability), damage our own gear, have our own agro management abilities work less effectively when in defensive stance.... oh to heck with it! I am gonna stop while I am sooooo far ahead in the utility department. :smileywink:
<div>Well I feel a little better now seeing that someone else was having problems with this mob. I am a 57 lvl Guardian who was gettin my butt handed to me by this mob and one of my guild mates who is a 56th lvl Pally came and soloed him to get the door open for me. All I could say in guild chat was " What a sad day for Guardians."</div>

I think we need 5000 more posts whining about our dps to equal the posts about brawlers not able to tank before LU13.But if we get more dps and get weaker in raid tanking, i will "hate" you all =)Mitigation (melee/resist) is broken hopefully they going to look into it soon.Expantion in a month, we shall see.Sirriun<div></div>

<div></div><p>I have fought this mob at level 60 and the keeper ring event, I was able to kill both without the use of potions. I wear almost a complete set of T6 raid fabled all but pants atm, and the shade got me to about 40percent health and the keeper fight took me like an hour to kill but I got him eventually using my t5 prissie 1hander.../shrug</p><p> </p>

<div>This sounds more like an under-conned MoB, moreso that Guards being [Removed for Content]. Or, more precise, a mob that was geared to be difficult for a Guardian speciffically, and doable by other classes. Still, a 14 level differance should make it trivial for any fighter.</div>

No doubt Guardians need their offencive stance looked at. Their DPS while in that stances need a huge boost. Fighters in general need their power pools looked at. Our MT in the guild is a Guardian and to this day can't beat the arena on the lowest level.<div></div>

<div>when i was goin down there on an alt for the runes, a 60 assassin from my guild took me. After 2 hours of no freakin shadow thing, i went afk for 5 minutes and it just happened to spawn. The assassin killed it with about 7% hp left.</div>
