Level 40 Ogre Guardian Returning to EQ 2 to play again and in need of some friendly advice.

<DIV>     I have a level 40 Ogre Guardian that I last played in EQ2 on March 20, 2005.  I am returning to play it again, but I wanted to ask all of the other Guardians out there is there any changes that I should be aware of that I will notice or can I continue on as I did before I stopped playing? Best recomendation I can make is to upgrade your gear to at least Ebon armor at lvl 40. It appears gear offers the best improvement in our tanking ability. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You have an offensive and defensive stance available to you now, I recomend you test those out and see which you prefer, I had been using defensive almost exclusively, but after testing offensive mode yesterday (based on thread in another post) I am thinking it may be better to stay in offensive mode, or balanced, unless faced with an extremely tough mob. But still working that out <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hold the line now has a series of spells that scales through the levels, you will want to make surey our using that to help with agro generation. It still roots you in place and you need to remember to release it at the end of each fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There has been a complete revamp of the combat arts so I would recomend reading through the thread that is stickied in this forum on the arts and their usage.
