<DIV>Ive been workin on my warrior who's gonna be a guardian probably by the end of the day, and so far all ive heard from people is "berserkers are better" I dont understand how a berserker is better, i mean ya they will do more dmg than a gaurdian id imagine, but guardians have more defense right? So id like to know from people who have played their guardian from awhile, what is good about guardians? Are they a fun class to play and do they make good tanks for groups? Also any tips to help me get started with him would be nice :smileyhappy:</DIV>

Here's an intangible that's good about guardians: it's a selfless class that people (used to) love. People used to like having guardians and templars around because they were characters that made the conscious choice to give up other fun areas of their character to concentrate on groupability. They were simply tanks and healers. SOE has removed this dynamic now, and consequently these two classes are also some of the most gimped. There is still some love in game for guardians, although you'd never realize it by reading all the cross posts from other classes on this forum board. So I am not having the trouble of finding groups that some are claiming, but that's just my own experiences. Other than that, we're hurting. Kruck SlashRude 60 Guardian Blackburrow PS We're also the "unsung heroes" of the eq2 world with the capability of "really locking down aggro" according to Moorgard, and he would know right? <div></div>

Guardians are pretty much identical to Bezerkers at tanking in groups and raids. However if you solo or duel or don't plan on being a main tank, don't pick a Guardian. It's not a fun class to play at present and that's why we play this game. Guardians have the lowest dps out of all fighter classes and are the only class to not have a form of self heal. If you never solo or don't plan on dueling then this prob won't matter. Guardians are a class that is kinda of all or nothing. By that I mean either you are tanking in groups and raids or you are not being invited to the groups and instead cheer from the sidelines. Beserkers can switch into a nice dps mode if they are not tanking. Guardians also have a dps mode, but it's cosmetic at best. <div></div>
