<DIV>Hello All</DIV> <DIV>This is my first post on the forum, althought I have been lurking for a while.</DIV> <DIV>Firstly, I would like to thank you all for championing the cause of the Guardian (Unsung Hero) since the LU13 downgrade.</DIV> <DIV>EQ2 is my first RPG / MMOPRG experience, even thought I have played other online games and beta tested a few over the past 6 years.</DIV> <DIV>My name is Barakuzz, I am a mid level Guardian (lvl 36 now) I have found my first RPG experience to be somewhat disheartening - this is in no part because of the community...if it wasn't for you guys and my fellow guild members I would have hung up my armour months ago.</DIV> <DIV>Basically, my frustration stems for the lack of feedback from the devs, lack of attention to an obviously broken class, and what I perceive as "Unfair treatment" for a class we all (or did) enjoy playing.</DIV> <DIV>I am not uber...most of my stuff is pretty middle of the road, I don't have a lot of time to play so I often solo...but really enjoy the group experience. I have raided 3 times with my guild "North Star" not as the MT, but as a low level character that wanted to experience the cameraderie of the Raid...basically, I stood a watched and cheered them on - occasionally running in to take a swipe then run like crap before they could take a swing back at me...but it was great fun.</DIV> <DIV>I don't proffess to be the best Guardian out there....but I take pride in at least knowing that no members of my group will die, without my "Unsung Hero" corpse lying on the ground first.</DIV> <DIV>I am an "Un-sung" and largely unwanted hero, since LU13.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, devs and fellow Guardians...please take a moment to read this compilation of changes since LU13.</DIV> <DIV>Devs if you could comment on why our plight has been ignored for so long, whilst the other classes issues appear to be addressed I would be greatly appreciative - just let me know if I am wasting my time in the hope that you will show us some "fairness" because at the moment it is not evident.</DIV> <DIV>And finally before reading the compilation below...I am happy for the other classes (good hunting all) - THIS IS NOT A NERF REQUEST.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><U>September 14th first update post LU13</U></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Monk changes:<BR></STRONG>- Wind Walk will no longer penalize movement speed.<BR><BR><B>Warlock changes:</B><BR>- The Flashfreeze spell line will properly land its stun on enemies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><U>September 15th update</U></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Swashbuckler changes:<BR></STRONG>- Hamstring and Disable no longer require you to be in a specific position to use them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><U>September 16th update</U></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Berserker changes:<BR></STRONG>- Rampage no longer has an initial cost but now costs power for each triggered attack. <P>I also would appreciate if someone, ANYONE, who is connected with SOE's Developers would be so kind as to make a Post on the Guardian Boards to at least let us know they do indeed exist and are aware we exist too. I don't expect them to log on and go hog wild solving everything within minutes of reading page after page of Posts....but a simple "we hear you and are working on it.", heck at this point in time I'd settle for a "we hear you but find there is no validity to any of your complaints/gripes/concerns and no fix of any kind is coming." At least then I'd know to just drop my Account and move on to other things.....hrmmm, mayhaps this is what they fear? *** Devs...are you worried you let things go so long without saying anything to us that there will be a mass Exodus if you tell us what the deal is? I don't think that is it....I mean those who play Guards will probably (if they haven't already) roll an alt to play. I'm sure a few folks will leave but there are always others to take their places. I DO know that the risk of having folks leave due to not receiving any iota of information on their concerns with a game they PAY to play would be the thing I would be concerned with. I'd be happy to hear ANYTHING from a Dev about the Guardians...most happy with "yeah, we Nerfed ya abit much and are working on fixing it WITHOUT Nerfing the other fighters", as I think that would be the fairest approach to the situation. I'd settle for a Dev even Posting and saying "hi, yeah..we hear ya and this is what is gonna happen........" I'm sure I'm not the only person who wonders what the heck has happened to the concept of Customer Service when it comes to so many folks being unhappy and saying as much with NO response from anyone in the know within the Company. I'm not just talking Guardians here either as I noticed there are a few other classes feeling much the same.</P> <P>Please SOE, as a Customer I am begging you....respond if you hear our voices.</P>

Raijinn has responded several times saying they are watching and reading  and each time he does someone ends up insulting the devs. so why again should they respond w/o any actual fixes. The last time he responded was just before LU16 which was only abit over a week ago. IMHO they need to remove the shield dam from tower of stone & increase the effectiveness of the guards offensive stance (fixing the offensive stance to have a net result of mroe dps will help guards at all lvls of play for soloing and small groups.) <p>Message Edited by Gungo on <span class=date_text>11-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:00 AM</span>

<DIV>They (who ever the customer service people are that handle this stuff) should respond because it is thier job. At the end of the day the only reason this stuff is here is because we all pay for it. As consumer's we should be informed and I know I have sen't numerous /petitions /feedbacks /bugs and have become vocal on the boards in an attempet to get the class I play back to a respectable level of playability or at the very least find out if I am wasting my time. For my efforts so far I have recieved one in game CS reply ticket that seemed like a template thanking me for my intrest and that the game is always going through changes and that my input was appericated etc etc etc ...  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't think anyone expects the Dev's to have all the answers at this time or be able to fix the class right away. I think what most of us want is just to be acknowledged.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cheers</DIV> <DIV>A Fustrated Level 45 Guardian</DIV>

<P>Veesh / Gungo,</P> <P>I could understand dev's not wanting to post until they have some fixes in mind. However, it would at least be nice to know that they are considering changes to address the disparity between the tanking classes. At this stage I an uncertain if they are even entertaining changes to the Guard class.</P> <P>All I am requesting is a statement, something like "We have heard the Guard community, and are working to address the imbalance" or "We have listened to the Guard community, and believe the class is functioning as intended - no changes will be forthcoming"</P> <P>Either way, at least we will know where we stand...and based on that feedback we can individually decide if we want to continue our broken class, or choose to roll and alt.</P> <P>There is no clear communication for the dev's, just hearsay and supposition from snippets gleaned from other class forums.</P> <P>SOE Devs please give us the scoop...don't leave us hanging here, in hope that you have heard our plight...this lack of information / communication leads to increased frustration levels and venting in the various forums.</P> <P>Thanks for listening</P> <P>Regards</P> <P>Barakuzz - lvl 37 Guardian - North Star - Neriak Server</P>

<DIV>Gungo,<BR></DIV> <DIV>I appreciate you posting Raijinn's earlier response. However, it doesn't tell us if they are planning to make changes "listening to our concerns" vs doing something about them are two completely different responses.</DIV> <DIV>Hey I listen to my wife all the time...doesn't mean I am going to do what she wants !</DIV> <DIV>However, if I listen to her and respond with "I have heard you and plan to make changes" then that at least is some level of committment.</DIV> <DIV>My frustration stems from not knowing if they plan to make <U>any</U> change - they don't even need to let us know what the specific changes are... just that they are working on some ideas.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SOE is there any light at the end of the tunnel for our class ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Regards</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Barakuzz lvl 37 Guardian - North Star - Neriak Server</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Yes Gungo   Raijinn made that statement but I get the feeling at SOE meetings   Raijinn gets a seat in the back of the Room if he is invited.    MG has given us the Unsung Hero title and stated we are the way he wanted us to be.   MG has never said he was sorry.    Raijinn and Raahl have done what they can for us as a Class and a Forum but after all our polite statements and Views no statements have been made.</P> <P>I know noeone counts any talk of EQ1 but with 5 years of SOE MMorpg the normal responce to a mass out cry and highly detailed statement of our issues SOE would reply with a cut and paste of the issues  with Working, Under consideration, or not plans at this time.  now it may take a year for answers and not all would be addressed but it was a statement and was Post it to top of forums.    This was a community.    What we are getting is a put up or leave.   This is a Cuba answer.</P> <P>Hats off to Raijinn but it would be nice if someone handed him some offical office paper and make an Absor or Flippy Caliber statement he can post and update once a month  or 2.         </P> <DIV>...
