View Full Version : No balance at solo level - so why can't we have some solo loving.

Doesn't mess up group dynamic, everyone's happy, everyone can solo relatively the same. If they're so hell bent on making everyone able to offer a similar level of contribution to a group / raid, then everyone should be able to solo at a similar capacity.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Aye, I;ll throw my 2 cents in on this one. I too have no real problems in groups (other than that damned root) but soloing is not only a chore it is a frustrating chore. Now when I cant group, I log onto my Warlock..

My oppinion something along the lines of spiked armor.  Basically self only or single target damage shield say 3 concentration.  Not sure how many you normally use up now or would need for a group.   But enough concentration to not warrent its damage benefits for in a large group but enough damage potential to aid for soloing, maybe it scales based on what you are fighting as well or maybe it doesn't do damage to heroics.

We never said all Sub Classes would solo the same. Some will naturally have an easier time soloing then others. The game is working as intended.". This is usually followed by the 'standard' response of someone (usually NOT a Guardian) saying something like..."Tuff cookies. You wanna solo? You want something that is playable? STOP asking for them to fix Guards and go re-roll a different toon."</P> <P>I know this information doesn't help you anymore than it did me....just thought I'd let you know to be prepared to hear it. </P> <DIV>I sooo agree with you that it is "whack"...I've also been out-solod by a same geared, same level Inquisitor (is my husbands character..we started on different mobs of the same type/level at the same time). The Inquisitor (naturally) finished with more health and more power and was done in about 1/3 of the time it took me to kill my mob. Now, knowing how well Inquisitors can tank (just tool over to their boards and see how much they love their DPS  :smileytongue: ) think about how SAD it is to be a FIGHTER and experience that. It was scary in the end..as not only was the Inq. faster in killing the mob, but the fight ended with him at about 50% health and 42% power while I was at 37% health and OUT of power.</DIV> <DIV>Also had a friend play her Monk (same level and comp. gear)...she was able to kill 3 and be working on the 4th mob by the time I killed the first one and finished the 4th/ started on the 5th while I got back up in health/power to attack my 2nd. I'm a newbie gaurdian compared to most of you, only level 36. I've solo'd for about 2/3's of my exp so far. Lately I've been soloing with dual wield, the pgt and a poison edged stilletto. The proc on the pgt is such a huge advantage while soloing I leave my fabled twohander, and 1hd and shield in the pack. And since I wouldn't expect us to be allowed to heal, I was thinking that a ward line of spells for the gaurdian would be huge help while soloing. Some kind of small amount ward, with a regen and decent duration. Example at my level a 50 point ward, regen 25 per tic, duration 30 seconds, recast 1 minute. It would be nice to have something to offset a mobs initial burst damage. So even a 300 point ward, 20 second duration,  with a 1 minute recast would be a help while soloing. Just my two cents Lifetaker <div></div>
