Am I the only one who really didn't notice any changes whatsoever. I am a level 45 so some of the stuff is above me, but I thought I would log in my abandoned guardian yesterday and see what was up with the changes, and I couldn't find any. There was absolutely no significant difference at all. What was this supposed to acomplish. Was this supposed to be a way to shut us up without doing anything. This is silly. Guess my guardian is staying abandoned for a little longer. <div></div>

<DIV>Because there werent any substantial changes. Not enough to deem the class viable again IMO. </DIV>

They were just a couple "hope this keeps them quiet until we can really revamp the class" changes. At least, i hope this is the case. I completely agree that these do not fix everything. I'd give 20p just to have my taunts never be resisted again, possibly the worst idea ever in an mmo. Heck, make me have to raise a taunt skill and if it's maxed out they are not resisted, but until them they have a chance. I'd even pay money for this skill, just let me have taunts that are not resisted. [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn], i'd sure like to have taunts never be resisted. <div></div>

Maybe It was just the euphoria over my power ranger armor <span>:smileyhappy:</span>. </span><div></div>

Especially when taunting a named or epic that cons yellow or higher. Why should they fall for a taunt every single time? They are big powerfull smart mobs who should know better than to be goaded into bad strategy. But, we are powerful too, and we should do better at taunting, the level of resist is too high for higher con mobs. One of my in-game friends told me certain mobs in DoF are immune to Guardian taunts. I have no idea if this is true, but the person who told me this is very knowledgable, so I think could have a basis in reality. I hope someone can confirm or deny it. Either way, taunts should be more effective. And HTL really needs to go back to being an attack based taunt, rather than requiring the tank to be hit. It is far less useful now. Or, how about a balance. Descrease the amount of hate gain by 50%, but make it so attacking or being attacked generates hate: Kindof like this: Mob hits me: "Is that all you got, Bloodtalon? Your father was a rooster!" I hit mob: "Boy, that was easy. Maybe you should try dodging next time." </span><div></div>

It garentees them addition to the mobs hate table right at the start. If you engage an encounter with a taunt and it gets resisted, you are not added to the mobs aggro table until you do something. If you arent added initially, they wont start hitting you, making MD not proc until you land a taunt or hit the mob hard enough to get its attention.</P> <P>Some skills by design generate gaurenteed aggro. Why is it that my skills, which more or less have one use (to generate aggro obviously) are not gaurenteed?</P> <P>Resist are <STRONG>stupid</STRONG> in this aspect. They should not be outright resisted, EVER. And don't tell me I'm taunting a mob thats conning to high for me. I have been resisted up to 4 times in a row on a blue down con. Get adept III's you say? Got them, didnt make one ounce of difference.<BR><BR>An ideal medium in this situation, is lets say on a would be resist, half the aggro is generated, or something like that. Resist and Ignored should not be one in the same. Hell, when aggro is cut in half, have it say resist. Then on a rare ocasion have it say Ignored over the mobs head. [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] happens.</P> <DIV>My crap protection line sucks. My taunts blow. Both my claims to fame are garbage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And if you want to look at it logically, if our taunts really dont mean anything to a giant, super powerful, smart mob, when compared to a Wizzard our DPS wouldnt even make it flinch, in which case we would have NO way to hold aggro against a raid mob, logically speaking. Useless is what we would be. So lets throw real life logic out the window with this. Its a game, and its busted when it comes to logic.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Give me taunts OR give me DPS. Leaving me with [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] for both is mindless stupidity and down right unfair.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Vandileir on <span class=date_text>11-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:01 PM</span>
