Anyone other Guardian having trouble doing the tear griffin/grifter quests in Maj'Dul??

I mean, although I have pretty good mit I still get hit hard. I just cannot kill blue single ups that heal themselves. It's impossible. I'm not sure if those quests were intended to be solo-able, but if so they were never tested. They would know it doesnt work. A coercer buddy of mine DOES solo them however.

I do not need much more encouragement to cancel my account then coercers doing quests ez where a fighter is powerless.

i did alot of these quests, easy exp when ya don't got alot of constant playtime... the hardest ones for me is when i got the frog instance one...

the ^ healers are proably the shammy mobs droping their disease dot on ya... it does hit hard and their wards eat up alot... haste+2H in offensive stance is how i beat em... you can keep em sunned/pacified for about the first 15 secs of the fight... just spam every CA ya have...

Wabit

The best way that I have found to deal with single mobs that heal themselves, is simply to prevent them from doing so. This can be done by using shield bash, kick, heroic opportunities, and pacify type combat arts, although pacify will only prevent them from casting future spells for six seconds, not interrupt them.

Shield Bash will interrupt a spell being cast as well as stun the mob for three seconds.

The Kick line will only interrupt a spell being cast.

Heroic Opportunities will interrupt spellcasting when they are completed, so if neither Shield Bash or your Kick is available, line up a Heroic Opportunity and wait for the mob to start casting a spell, then hit your taunt to finish it.

In order for these to work, you have to pay attention to when the mob starts casting a spell, either via the chatwindow, provided you have enabled others casting spells, and whenever you see soandso begins to gather arcane energies or whatever the message may be, you hit your interrupting combart art, or by looking at the mob to see when it starts flailing its arms.

It will take a bit of practice, but with single mobs it will become easy to interrupt healers from casting. Mages is another story as their spells are generally too fast from the time you see them casting to be able to interrupt them.

I hope this helps you out.

Agel.

I do the Tear Grifter quests all the time. As others have stated..with the healer mobs you have to spread out and time your stun/stifle/pacify arts more carefully. If I get lucky and keep them from casting they die fast. I ALWAYS do these quests and most other SOLO things in offense stand w/ Imbued 2hander and max STR. I wish there were more repeatable quests like this...Nice way to make XP progression when you dont have much time to play. Its also nice that they scale with your level.

Everything Cbik said is really helpful againts healing and casting mobs. Its all about timing. And to add to the interrupt arts DO NOT overlook your single target taunt it is a life saver. Even for those quick casting mobs. Most people overlook this art while soloing because well they already have agro and won't lose it. It's by far one of my best interrupts, quick casting and very vital. Good hunting and safe travels.
