40-50, Suggestions for Armor and Weapon, pls

<DIV>Hi fellow Guards and Guardettes,</DIV> <DIV><BR>I am level 41 and have a full set of forged feyiron armor with a regeneratin chest plate.  I am also using a Mammoth for a weap along with a shield and PGT.  I would like to know what recommendations you have for me as I go through my levels 41-50.  I see people in some purple tinted armor on the dark side as well as some weapons I am not familiar with.  Is the armor I see Ebon?  If so, what level should I  upgrade my current armor.  It currently is still white to me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks all, looking forward to your replies.<BR><BR>Xirius - Barb'd Guardian</DIV>

<P>If you can get/afford ebon, then that's your best bet.</P> <P>As far as weapons, I've always been partial to the crafted imbued ones.  Though I will admit I am not up on weapons that much.</P>

The screaming mace is very nice 40s weapon. Its a painfull quest. I used it until I got my prismatic. Many people say the deagro+power  proc it has makes it bad for guardians.  Dont believe it rocks, power is king. I never lost agro because it proced. My guess is that the power add generates hate and the deagro balances that. <div></div>

<P>Agreed.</P> <P>If money is no issue, go imbued ebon, imbued ruby rings for extra buffs (you can buff one, switch and buff the next), and hex dolls.</P> <P>For weapons, I mostly use heritage quest items, with the exception of an imbued cedar club in combination with an imbued cedar tower shield.  With the club/shield combo, my stats are only slightly better than using a two-handed HQ item.  Just depends on my mood.</P> <DIV>Opila Ehrenwache</DIV> <DIV>47 Guardian</DIV> <DIV>Hands of Prophets</DIV> <DIV>Highkeep</DIV>

If cosmetics is an issue, don't go club. It is hideous. Lol<BR>PI Ebon Assault Axe is nice, or theres always the traditional long sword.

Feyiron is utter crap. "Handcrafted" quality armor is very bad.  Handcrafted from the previous tier is laughable.  Set your filter to treasured on the broker with a filter between 36 and 41, and buy whatever is available in those slots, for a huge mitigation increase.  There's dropped rubicite, ebon, and some other items on the broker that can be had for decent prices. Crafted ebon is the ideal (legendary), but skip on the boot slot.  Do the Jboots runs for the Journeyman's boots.  Nice xp, and equipable at 42 (and have ebon equivalent mitigation).  Ebon cluster's are dropping in price pretty rapidly, and broker farming can result in some decent bargains, provided you know an armorer. As for weapons, imbued cedar is the way to go.  Relatively cheap, and great damage.  (provided you can stand the looks on the 1h.  I like the look of the 2h personally though)  They cost a ton less than the ebon.  Cedar longbow for pulling/stats.  No need to bother with the imbue unless its close in price. <div></div>
