<DIV>Someone explain this to me...I recently ended up having someone make me an Ironwood Tower Shield and I noticed it had a shield factor of 840, while the T-5 fabled (Zalak's shield and aegis or alcaricity are the ones I have) are listed as 720 shield factor.  However when I equip the t-5 fabled shield I get a 16% increase to avoidance (all block), when I equip the t-6 legendary shield I get a 14% increase to avoidance (block).  Just for kicks I had a friend of mine look at the stats on the kite shield version of the shiny brass shield (not sure what the factor is) but it also gave a 14% increase to block.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So with that in mind do all legendary tower shields give 14% avoidance regardless of tier? Fabled shields give 16% regardless of shield factor?  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does shield factor even mean anything anymore and if it doesn't can you techinically go buy a fir tower shield and get the same block % out of it as an ironwood...this makes no sense.</DIV>

<P>Here´s a kicker.. try going dual and use fortified stance (i have appIV).. you get better attack, mit and avoid than if you use one handed and shield with desperate rush ( I have adIII, screaming mace and ironwood tower).</P> <P>Bloodwolf of Oggog</P>

At what lvl does lvl 40 shields and armor get obsolete?

<DIV>Items need to be upgraded every 15 levels roughly.  So a level 40 item would be replaceable around 55.</DIV>

<P>I have to agree shield factor does not do anything, I too thought I would be upgrading my T5 fabled with an ironwood only to find my avoidance go down with the T6 that had 120 more shield factor then the T5 fabled.</P> <P> </P> <P>/shrug maybe it is a perception thing I know guardians seem to have a problem with that lately.</P>
