<DIV>Ok, I know that most of the people posting here are probably post 50, as is my guardian. However, since I am out of vitality, not sure I like my toon any more, and well, bored, I decided to go play on an alt (god forbid).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I picked up a group in TS last night doing giants with my little scout, a 24 troubador. (haha his high hit is almost as high as my pre-13 high on my guardian).. So of we go, splattering giants. I can easily solo any of the non-heroic ones (omg I forgot how much fun kiting was) and I easily keep up with ranged damage compared to my guardian. However when we got into the heroics, I of course let the tank (a 29 paladin) do this thing. I stole aggro like a thief in the night when the mobs came in groups, often when I was just doing DPS, not debuffing or anything else. Mind you I am not twinked out, simple carbonite chain and dual wield with app4 and adept1 other then the master I got to pick from the respec.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After about 2 hours and an entire level (ding 25 woots), the paladin had to leave. LFG tank yadda yadda. Hmm, mobs are 24-27, only thing lfg is a 23 guardian. Bah, whatever, we can do this. on a 26 heroic single the poor little guy went down hard~ (ie splattage). the 27 range in the group ended up tanking that one. Ok, next one, he pulled the mob, a 27 heroic, I shot it with singing shot (less then 100pts of damage total) and I had aggro from him. He NEVER once regained it and I tanked it as well or better then he did. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Luckily after only a few more of those type things, Doomsquall came along and ruined the party (I love having track and saying OH [Removed for Content] run people run). We ended up breaking before long but it brought back to mine the old days of being a lower guardian and tanking those. I never had a problem with it, never. I hope thats still the case, I would hate to see the groups leaving out guardians just because other tanks can tank better then a guardian can now (notice I avoided using the word WE).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It has become a sad day in my heart to know that a scout 1-2 levels above you in average player made gear could tank better.
