<DIV>I didn't want to get off topic on the Summary thread ThramFalcox put up because I think it should stay on topic and generate more apprpriate input, but one of the topics inside was regarding +pierce/slash/crush skill line and a post from Noah that I either am misunderstanding or isn't current with the changes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <HR> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000>The +skill brings the Con color down vs your strike. With the increase in Con ranges... this is much harder to see but the +skills we get are much larger. Ad3 offensive stance + group buff = +42.1 to all melee skills. Basically 8 lvls. If your not the main tank... you will hit moreoften than most on a high lvl mob. Miss = zero damage, Hit = some damage atleast. Even with 12% haste ... i dont know if i would trade the +skill for that. I would run a few more parsers with that stance on vs a white con mob. Im pretty sure you will see an increase of 30-40% in dps in just pure auto attack, if you need to see it for yourself.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> <HR> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>According to the following by Moorgard a few days ago +skill lines no longer increase you con vs. mobs for specialized areas but only make them "more effective".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV> <DIV> <HR> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000>Skill buffs don't work the way they did before LU13. Pre-combat changes, a skill boost of +5 essentially made you a level higher when it came to using that skill. This caused all kinds of things to become broken, especially considering the way buffs could be stacked.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000>Now, skill buffs are just that: a buff to your skill's effectiveness. They don't, however, allow you to roll the dice as if you were higher level than you really are.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000>In other words, you're not hitting as if you're a 57.8 warlock; you're hitting as a 53 warlock with buffs. That's definitely better than not having the buffs, but keep in mind that their effectiveness scales based on the con of your opponent. The buffs will matter less against oranges and reds, and will make a considerable difference against opponents below your level.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ff0000>This same reasoning applies to melee skill buffs as well.</FONT></DIV> <P><FONT color=#ff0000>===========================<BR>Steve Danuser, a.k.a.
