Will be some time that I get to make this decision if it all <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> But i'm leaning toward Protect. The Call of Defense perhaps if I actually knew what the hell +Defense meant these days. <div></div>

As near as I can tell if only offers a small modifier to avoidance, which is certainly nice, but agility seems to do more, point for point. However, one should not immediately ignore damage skills as if they were not worth upgrading. They actually account for a much larger portion of our overall taunt than before. Getting all our damage skills to adept III should have a significant impact on our overall aggro generation. That being said, when I was looking at these choices I decided that even though a master2 of Quelling Strike would be a nice single-target taunt and handy in duels (if I ever engage in any), both of those damage skills have a 1 minute recast timer. Protect can be recast three times a minute, so when you triple the difference upgrading it makes the choice seemed pretty clear.</span><div></div>

If you already have a AD3 or M1 of one of the choices its probably best to pick one of the ones you only have AD1 or worse off. </span><div></div>

<DIV>Even though Call of Defense is only +2 better, which is equal to roughly .5% avoidance, I still think this is the right choice.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For aoe aggro control, we already have Goading Assault, Protect, and Tremor plus the MD line, so I really don't think the extra aggro on Protect will do much at all.</DIV>

yah protect is very low aggro compared to hold the line line... very low % of aggro in a fight. Defense is defense. <div></div>

Ide rather just take the DMG art one...at least I can tell its making a difference. </span><div></div>

If it is, is 0.5% increase really that helpful? Especially when you're considering that against higher level mobs, as in MTing a raid, it's going to equate to even less than that. I have AD3 Protect and AD3 Call of Defense... so i'm unsure in what to get. </span><div></div>

Well, I go for .5 defense over .5 aggro, because aggro can be adjusted by others... can't exactly ask a mob to stop hitting you for so much. <div></div>
