<DIV> In the past I have rarely used this forum, because I am what you might refer to as a casual player. I’m currently lvl47 which has taken approx 8 months, so no speed record. I started checking out this forum after the new combat changes, I felt like my class had been nerfed and wanted to see the reaction of others. I have been checking out the forum and the basic summary is. 1 - Some players want more mitigation. 2 - Some players want more utility. 3 - Some players believe that the guardians are nothing more then a bunch of sissies, whining about not being uber anymore. In regards to 1 and 2. I believe either of these solutions would workout fine, but have my sincere doubts that this will happen, at any point in the near future. If any developer should read this, please reassure a paying customer that you are reviewing this matter and will return on the matter. In regards to 3 Mainly I see a lot of monks/bruisers arguing about the fact that Guardians a just fine. (I would like to add that some have been very constructive and also believe that things need to be fixed). Since I’m only a casual player, it’s not an option for me to start a new toon all over. All my friends a high levels and I struggle to keep up with their pace as is. Now since many of the people in here believe, that everything is just dandy. I suggest that you consider the following. A solution could be allow players to “/respec” on their class choice, once only! How many monks do you think would move to guardian?? How many guardian’s would move to Monk? Well count one! Even if this would mean that a lot of my equipment would be rendered useless in the new class. (I’m sure that many Guardian would a stay in their class, best of luck.) I know that this is wishful thinking from my point and this may seem like I’m the first rat to leave the sinking vessel. But the main point I want to stress here is the length of my frustration with these so called improvements/changes. If nothing else I hope that this will make other classes think a second time before flaming the guardian class. I come to this forum read the threads get all depressed at work thinking that my class sucks now, then I log on try some of the stuff being mentioned find it to be utter nonsense and laugh....If you want to be a god play a coercer. Man Gaige is gonna love this thread I'd hope he doesnt come here

Hmm, not very constructive, but nevertheless positive. Please explain to me where you see the future work of you’re guardian. Example: You have a grp looking for a tank, when and why should they recruit a Guardian and not go with Coercer/Monk/Bruiser..etc Message Edited by Ifungus on 09-22-2005 12:07 PM

Six months of being my Guilds MT, and decked in almost full fabled, and I would take a Bruiser naked in a heartbeat if offered, knowing my class isnt going to change... Covenant

Ide quit before ide take such an offer.. I game that forces its players to make this sorta decision a year after release isnt worth playing. <div></div>

I 'd be afraid to switch to a different class. They would just get nerfed and I would be depressed again. I was complaining to my guild yesterday and a one of the healers told me to cheer up at least guardians can't get any worse. <div></div>

Lots of reasons he might have leveled up that quickly, one being that Im sure he was botted A LOT to hit 60 so fast. Besides he coulda been too stubburn to reroll a class, he could just hope they will fix us soon, he coulda had a lot of reason to do it, other then Guardians are Balanced and Fun class to play... Besides you cant argue the general Guardian populance is SEVERELY dissapointed with their class now, many of whom are leaving the game or Tradeskilling now... Covenant

Bashm had a fully fabled 50 guardian and an almost fully fabled 50 bruiser when DoF went live. He chose to grind his guardian to 60 first even though he had the choice between the two classes. Obviously as his guild's leader and MT, and everyone saying bruiser is best tank in the game, why did he make that choice?

He hates playing a Guard now so he had his guild Bot him while he was afk on vacationo to 60, so that when he gets back he can play his FUN class himself??? Unlike you gaige I have no idea, nor do I try and say why, People do what they do, or claim to know whats best for them, or even What they are thinking...Altho I have seen you do that throughout the Guardian Forums... Well what exactly don't you like because if its mitigation we're still on top there. Is it your not the main tank, well I'm yet to be in a group where I haven't been the main tank, where I haven't had the best mitigation or even hp's. Is it because your dps is horrific? because if you actually parsed your character before the changes then again after it probably went up after, at least it did for me. The reason why I basically laughed at you is because the impression I got is "Oh I hate my class now OMG let me start over but guess what I'm too lazy to relevel a character so I want level 50, a good set of gear, and adept 3 spells handed to me because I don't have the time to level another character because I'm a casual player." If that's the case can I get level 60 free because my cat needs to go to the vet and I can't exp tonight?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Quite honestly with all this whining its no wonder half the people here can't get a group I mean if I were a healer I wouldn't want you tanking for me, god help me when you die by accident or something.</DIV>
