<DIV>Last night my group was hunting the ^^^ spiders in Sinking Sands.  I was 42 and the mobs Con'd orange to me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So with the changes that sony implemented where orange and red mobs hit a lot harder, I was typically getting pounded.  This was fine cause my group could handle it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I pull with a bow shot.  Hit my AE and single taunt on the way back to the party then fire up my HTL.  During the combat I would hit my taunting blow when it came up and an occational HO.  While spaming all my attack skills as they came up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This worked well.  I kept aggro for the most part, and rarely died.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well as luck would have it I leveled to 43 last night and now the spiders were yellow.  The only problem was that they didn't hit me as hard as before and my HTL skill didn't get me as much aggro as it had before.  I found myself spaming every taunt I had when ever they came up.  If I didn't do this I would lost aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just thought it was odd that I'd want to be hit more often.  LOL</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><U><FONT size=4>Potential Problem</FONT></U></STRONG></DIV> <DIV>Will this even be worse once a mob goes white or blue?    Because our mitigation and avoidance are based on our level, lower level mobs might have a tough time hitting us and then we would have major issues keeping aggro because our HTL skill would be virtually useless. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Do you think it would be an issue?</DIV>

Given how pathetic our avoidance is even under Defense stance I dont see this being much of an issue. Also ive found that if the mobs are blue or less I dont need Defense stanc nor do I need a shield which essentially gives me next to no avoidance.  I think in my group against blue mobs, using my 2h axe my avoidance is like 18% or so. Where I see issues happening with our HTL is with Wards...im pretty sure while a ward is active mob hits dont count as hits which means no HTL procs. All in all our aggro seems to assume we are getting hit.  Problems happen when we lose aggro and have to regain it...we are extremely limited in what we can do under those situations. Also another tid bit.  My primary healer is a Fury...we like to use the Fury porcupine ability which is fun stuff =P  Ive found that when she uses that buff on me...if i remove all my buffs, no shield it works better.  The mitigation boost from Procupine more than covers any dmg im gonna take and the low avoidance means the DS procs more often. <div></div>

Ok so we just adjust our fighting styles by dropping the shield and/or going into offensive stance.  This could cause us to be hit more and help us keep aggro.  I'll have to give this a try once I get a chance.
