I try not to complain. This isn't (yet) intended as whining about LU13. But something is amiss, and I need help to sort it out. Our typical group is a level 30 Guardian (me), a level 32 Templar, and a high level assassin mentored to Templar. Our group's motto used to be "We Brake for Named." That no longer happens. When we see a named, our best strategy is to grey it out and go around. This saddens me. Group fights usually in RoV, such as the skeletons.... I typically have four permanent buffs up, including allay on Temp, as well as Battle Cry and the Stamina buff before bigger fights. The assassin is transferring some of his aggro to me though a buff. My gears is middling (some legendary, mostly handcrafted pristine). When the fight starts, some of the mobs choose the Templar (lowest hps and ac). My first group taunt is effective. Then as the fight progresses, I will sometimes (20-30pct of time) lose aggro. If it is to the assassin, I'm not sweating it. While his evade is ONLY useful as a means to advance HOs, he can usually hold up against the mobs. What is bad is when the Templar gets aggro, sometimes from little more than an Amending Fate going off. At this point, if the emergency taunt isn't available, scout's evac better be, because I cannot figure out how to get aggro back. Templar is casting the usual reactives mixed with direct heals, as well as the Mark and Rebuke debuffs. Long story, short request: PLEASE tell me what we are doing wrong? If I need to tell more, happy to, I really don't want to whine about the update, want to figure out if we can work witihin what we are given. <P>First, it seems to me that the Templar is casting a reactive on you before you start. That's a bad way to go since heal aggro transfers to the healer, meaning as soon as a mob hits you, the Templar is screwed. Have him wait a bit and then heal you with a direct heal once you hit 75% and then cast a reactive right after. He should lead off the fight with his debuffs. Mark of Pawns will help him as well with his nukes.</P> <P>You should have your 3 conc buffs up as well as your stance (Defensive in a group), and you should be casting the aggro reduction buff on the Assassin and the Parry buff on the Templar (not sure of names for the -30 ones). I always lead off a fight with the damage aggro skill (Taunting Challenge line), then go into an HO with the Slam line and my single taunt (if a single mob) or my group taunt (if a group). Once you're set, active your HTL series spell and go to town.</P> <P>I hunted with my wife today (Templar) and since this was basically what we did before the revamp we decided to keep doing it. She never pulled aggro once and several times we got continuous aggro and I was close to OOP on the last mob so she had to do most of the damage (Mark line is awesome now with the Divine debuff) and even then she remained safe.</P> <P>I don't think you guys are necessarily doing anything wrong, you just have to readjust the way you guys do your fights is all.</P>

Forget taunt lines you have at lvl if you have supress etc yet. However if aggro is your problem it is simple. Pull mob with single taunt pull - group taunt pull while walking mobs back to group keep them back a lil it only takes half a sec to cast both. Then put up htl and dps dps dps dps. Hold aggro over every class this way at 52(currently) HTL is the trick. Also i only group with a Inq for heals. The Inq always keeps reactives up for pulls and have np keeping aggro off of it. Try it out its golden IMO.

You might try this: In addition to your group taunt, HTL, etc., occasionally tab through the group hitting them with your single taunt. Ex: Mob1, Mob2, Mob3 Start fight with group taunt, single taunt on Mob1. When single taunt is ready, hit Tab to Mob2, single taunt Mob2, target Mob1 and keep fighting. When single taunt is ready again, tab x2 to Mob3, single taunt Mob3, target Mob1 again. and so on, and so on. Use your damage-taunt (Taunting Blow line) on Mob1 while you're doing this, and of course fire off the group taunt whenever it's ready. Also, try using your area attack after you have HTL on. <div></div>

<DIV>Thought I would mention a few more things:</DIV> <DIV>* Update your skills to at least Adept I.</DIV> <DIV>* You might be hunting too high mobs compared to your level. More incoming damage means more healing which means more healer aggro. I must admit I never have problems keeping agro off healers though, even fighting level 59's at 51(All taunts at adept III). It is those triggerhappy wizzes and warlocks that are the big aggro thieves.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
