<DIV>Why am I seeing so many higher level Guardians acting like this is a new spell or they are just finding it for Aggro management ? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At lvl 18 I can't stand to tank without it. I mean seriously .... Every successful land by the enemy they get a 50% chance to increase hate ... It's nothing more than an Auto taunt buff. Why in the world anyone got past this and wasn't using it is beyond me. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So for new and upcoming Warriors/Guardians .... Use HOLD THE LINE </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>< --- has yet to lose aggro but perhaps 2 times and that was when facing 8 mob pulls ( in BB ) and a +3 level mage nuking them with all he had. Even then I only lost 1-2 and was able to immediately get them back. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My Priest GF and I duo pretty much everytime I'm playing on my Warrior and she has never ever pulled aggro off me once I throw a Shout>Hold the line> begin my routine of Wound>Shield bash>Provoke etc .... She not only heals but plays the DPS roll in the duo as well ... I'm just the big dumb barbaian getting his head beat in ... and I like it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV>

well, pre-LU#13 we didn't need to use it. Holding aggro was cake plus you had the freedom to move mobs as necessary to control for adds, positioning, etc.

Prior to LU13, I only used HTL sparingly as I hated being rooted. Now I just have to deal with it as its the only way I manage to hold aggro worth a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] at all now...

Pre-CU I always used Hold the Line. In fact i had my alchemist wife make me an adept III version. I loved that spell. Now in the new system I've been using Goading Defense in its place. Always nice to have that extra bit of hate generation when your nukers are doing their jobs<div></div>

Keeping agro sucks now. Totally. With the increased dps (thus increased hate gain) of scouts and mages I just watch as the mobs kill my party. If I lose agro, it's lights out for everyone else.

<P>I used HTL all the time myself. If I need to move the mobe I'ed just click it off. Same now but the recast timer is shorter and it works a lot better by it proc on them hitting you.</P> <P> </P> <P>And I'll say again if caster and scounts are getting agro from you and you taunting and dpsing( haha ), let them die so they learn agro conrtole, its about time they learn to use there agro reducers.</P>

<DIV>One big reason I never used HTL pre LU13 was because I had 3 big attacks that continually were out of range and I had to be riding the mobs to get them to go off. That and we didn't need them to keep aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, we have to use them to have any chance of keeping aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW did they fix the range problem on those big damage skills?</DIV>

Yes they've fixed the distance issue. 27 Guard here and Slam and True Strike were my pain that made me use HTL in clutch situations only. Now I'll be using it a lot more. Was in group last night with Sawshie and two Mystics. Not much aggro problems. Would drop all my taunts out, unleash holy heck with DPS arts and pop the taunts as they came up. Didn't use HTL even though I saw Slam and True Strike working well with distance. The only time I lost aggro was when we had two non-linked mobs and the Swashie was attacking the wrong target. But I did get it back. One thing I did note was if I failed to get aggro right at the start it was really difficult to pull it back.
