Because it uses a mega buff that was created for use with the old combat system. Had a balanced group of 6, ground 50-51 in like 10 hours... was dandy. Taunts being resisted is the suck, but some stuff is okay.... <div></div>

Just FYI, Harclave was NERFED in a big way. This has nothing to do with Guardians. The heals in there used to pop in for +600ish, now they are like +120ish. Not only are you taking a bit more damage, but the buffs in there are healing you at 1/5 the rate they used to. I would expect this to change at some point, but in the mean time, Harclave is a poor way to measure your character. I've also noticed that many people in DoF seem to be having little trouble while people in the old world are getting owned. I doubt this is a coincidence, I expect that the old world mobs need to additional tuning to come into line with the newer content.<div></div>

Hell last night I was soloing Orcs out in Zek. Mind you I'm 28 and they are level 30 SOLO mobs that con yellow to me. Now I die now to solo mobs, almost EVERY time I fight them, where before I was losing about half my health? I mean what's the deal? SOLO mobs for god sakes?! It's not like my gear isn't good, cause it is....nothing has changed in what I do except the patch. We got screwed royally - and I'm very [Removed for Content] off about it. <div></div>
Since the CC I have really lost interest in playing my guardian. Im not sure at this point if I want to continue playing EQ2 anymore, Ive put to much time and effort into my toon for sony to screw us over like this. Before the CC I loved playing every day raiding every contested in the game with great succsess, but now i'm really bummed out about this whole deal. Anyway just my opinion.

Personally I think the changes stink. I have no problem with characters 10 levels lower now being able to attack. My problem is the fact that they completely gutted my mitigation and avoidance, as well as making the majority of my spells much worse than they were. Where I used to be able to take on and kill groups of 3 or 4 level 37 npcs I now die or come very close to dying fighting 3 lvl 36 non-heroics. if they had changed the spells that would have been one thing but changing the spells and all of the attributes to be lower as well really screwed up a good level 41 guardian. I am pretty unhappy with SOE at this point and may end up dumping my subscription. I definitely agree with you Kain. They destroyed our ability to enjoy the game!!!

Gone are the days of chopping down blue group mobs solo. The change seems to have been engineered to slow things down.. slow down the rush to 50, slow down the accumulation of wealth. Perhaps we should all just stop and smell the critter dens.. :smileywink:</DIV>

In a group last night we were taking on groups of goblins in Lavastorm that were Yellow to me at 41, red to our warden at 38 and white to our Conjorer/Paladin/Wizard (44-47). For the most part we could take them easily. Only when a wandering ^^^ Heroic Sentry jumped in did things get tough. Aye, I have to say so far my only real problems so far has been the ability to hold and keep aggro, but the week is young and I have alts :smileytongue:

Last night I grouped with a Mystic, level 29, and we were tanking level 30 SOLO mobs, mind you, a group of 3, and he died simply because in my tanking MUCH more damage than I used to, he was having to heal MUCH more often, and thus gaining MUCH more agro. 2 Adept 1 Taunts x2 were not enough to pull either of the other 2 mobs that attacked him, and he held agro thereafter in healing himself. Seems like their testing was a straight nerfing of classes, without considering the collateral effects it might have to others in groups such as healers.
