Well if the idea is to use it right after soulburn to prevent pet dying before we land a tainted heal on it.

But the issue is that this mean now a combination of 3 spell for a single nuke.
If duration was increased to 5 seconds or 6 we could macro it just after soulburn.
So new sequence will be soulburn/nuke/shift of death/tainted heals.

Anyway even at 3second it may have some usage, but frankly I don't see why we have to endure such a mess
when soulburn probably does less damage than a wiz nuking with increments.

Reanimate is all the protection I require against Soulburn. Should I lose the trigger (which I rarely do, especially with druid in group,) I can always use Masters Intervention. Stoneskin also has a pet trigger on it from AA. This spell is completely useless.

All you have to do is cast Soulburn, any 1 second cast time spell, and then Mortality Mark or Absorb Magic and it lands instantly after Soulburn, so the new spell isn't needed. But imo our pets shouldn't be taking any damage unless they are the direct target (they rip aggro). Otherwise, how is it fair that a summoner requires twice as much healing as a non-pet class?
