I am not in beta, so I have no real first-hand knowledge. I am only judging from forum info. Level 10-30: Since I am 50 and the days to use grey spells seem to be over, I don't care that much. I guess I will get the taunt/defensive stance stuff though I think in case of mentor raids 10: Shout 20: Soldier's Stance 30: Wall of Flesh or Goading Defense (no clue, look like new spells) Level 40: (at 50 outdated) Group Taunt OR Offensive Group Buff OR Defensive Group Buff OR Melee Attack I am pretty sure I will go for Call of Protection (which will be upgraded at 52 but all of them are or will be soon) Level 50: Hard to say I fear Single Target Taunt OR Encounter Taunt Attack OR HP Buff OR Defensive Stance Deafen Master II is a 20% increase to Adept III Fortified Stance Master II is a 20% Increase to Adept III Return to Battle Master II is a 40% increase to Adept I (guess it will be 20% as well compared to Adept III) Taunting Assault Master II is a 20% increase to Adept III At the moment I am leaning towards Fortified Stance personally. Level 60: Havent seen screenshots of those 4 yet, but I put my guesses - based on the names - in brackets Inflaming Defense (No clue) Steadfast Stance (Upgrade to Forttified Stance) Goading Assault (Upgrade to Taunting Assault) Confront (No clue, might be Deafen or Protect?) Not really bothering with these at the moment since the boards will be flooded with info once I hit 60

Level 10 - no idea.

Level 20 - no idea.

Level 30 - no idea.

Level 40 - no idea.

Level 50 - I have been told that all level 47-50 Combat Arts are not going to get an upgrade Combat Art in T6. Can anybody confrim this? If so, I would pick Return to Battle as it is the only one that you will not have an upgrade for, thus makeing it MUCH more benefecial at level 60.

Level 60 - Stead Fast Stance (assumeing this is the T6 upgrade to Fortified Stance)

Good argument, Airoguy Think Return to Battle is the better choice then

I did not see a new single target taunt in the list of level 51-57 skills so it may be worthwhile upgrading deafen, especially when the taunt we do get is a "hold the line" taunt and personally I hate that spell with a passion...

You will also be able to get master 3 spells so take that into consideration.

I do have master 1 return to battle so I would probably hold back on using my 50 skill as return to battle. It wouldn't make sense to upgrade from master 1 to master 2.

So is this a relatively thought provoking topic? I usually post drivel in ngd

They take a while to get upgraded and both are quite useful.

20 - I'd go with soldiers stance. The single target taunt seems almost worthless as well most encounters in this game seem to have more than one creature in them. Getting hit for less when you have a ton of stuff bashing on you seems to be the best bet at this point.

30+ - Not sure what all of these arts are but if any are a defencive stance (which some are I'm sure) or a shout upgrade I'd grab one of those. I'd lean twards a defencive stance, but that's just me, with how much more common rare harvests are supposedly going to be (A Dev said this) I'd take master stances and adept3 taunts, but then again with the changes in healing agro generation it might be best to do it the other way. *shrug* Need healed more and have more taunt threat or healed less and have less taunt threat. Not sure if taking damage reduces your threat in this game, I'm used to FFXI where getting hit would rediuce your place on the hate list.

I created a few toons and took pics of each upgrade we get Traits wise for each tier. Dont have the Tier 6 Choice yet.

For 50 deafen = upgrade 55ish, so waste taunting assault = upgrade 60ish, i think return to battle = upgrade 50 some, won't stack fortified stance = no upgrade, clear choice for level 50 training. less I am missing something.

Unless Guardinas are different then other classes, each skill is upgraded every 14 levels...

TunaBoo wrote:
For 50

deafen = upgrade 55ish, so waste Receive at 45, upgrade is 59
taunting assault = upgrade 60ish, i think Receive at 44, upgrade 58
return to battle = upgrade 50 some, won't stack Receive at 47, upgrade at 61
fortified stance = no upgrade, clear choice for level 50 training. 44 / 58

less I am missing something.

If you only want a skill that will not be upgradeded by 60, Return to battle is the only choice.
