Heya all Dont know if you know - but post revamp us warlocks are getting beefed up in AoE nukes and toned down in DD nukes. Out of intrest, can you give me some details or point me to some on how you build your AoE hate? Recast timers on AoE taunts, etc. Am hoping with more understand of your class I can resolve any issues with our MT - and pass it on to the other warlocks on the forums. Thanks all (ps - whats up with all the one stars going around over here?)

Message Edited by Fepple on 08-09-2005 11:47 AM

It looks like our AE taunts (we have two) are boosted. There is a post that shows the two AE taunts for Guards that can be found here - scroll down a bit. One is Protect and the other is Taunting Assault.

Just to add, Protect and Taunting Assault work only on the encounter you have targetted. To get hate of multiple encounters (and keep it), I normally 1. spam Commanding Presence: Multi effect buff that generates hate with every mob your group aggroed. 2. spam other buffs 3. Use Tremor: True AoE attack with a little dot. 4. circle through encounters, using encounter hates With the normal group I hunt with, they all know that they dont assist me when facing multiple encounters. They concentrate on the first/lowest one while I do my circling. Lot of hassle, but possible After the change, "hold the line" and it's followers will become a "generate aggro when you get hit" effect, making it easier to KEEP aggro of multiple encounters. To get them to hit you, the above strategy should work after combat revamp as well though.

Message Edited by Sir_Halbarad on 08-09-2005 07:41 AM

I am curious if they do. Can anyone confirm that we can grab agro with buffs post change? It looks to me like we got few group buffs that dont take concentration, and it would be somewhat of a pain to try to click it off to recast for agro. I think the few we got without concentration dont effect groups , and therefore wouldnt produce any hate on mobs not already attacking you.

Not idea to be dropping the buffs mid fight though
