Is this still an issue since Wednesday? If so - are you streaming or full download? We don't see this internally and others seem to see it fine. Any other architecture do this in either zone?

This is an issue for me as well. Intel 3000 HD Graphics card.<br />Copied contents of live EQ2 folder to beta test folder and ran updater.

I hit the same problem just now.<br />Video card: Intel HD Graphic 3000 + AMD Radeon HD 6650M<br />I selected a version "beta" on launchpad.

It's the same for me, front and back side of both gates.<br />Video card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series<br />Beta full install.

Still an issue for me as well, running a AMD Radeon R9 200 Series. My other computer which shows it fine is running a Nvidia Geforce GTX 550Ti.
I only noticed it on the walls on both sides of the sanctuary area. everything else looked normal. i didnt notice it when i was logged in last night. i will double check it tonight if i get a chance to log in.<br /> <br />i am using full download client. using an AMD R7 265 GPU with latest drivers.

Darkmoogle - that's likely because you have Environmental Bloom enabled on one computer and not on the other.<br />Doesn't explain the black textures, but out of sheer curiosity, try disabling bloom on the AMD box and zoning out/in of Tranquil and see if the black areas are still there.<br /> <br />We're still poking around to see if we can repro so keep any and all info coming! Thanks everyone.

I also have flora turned off.

I've been having issues similar to this ever since I bought this computer that is a HP ACPI x64-based PC with (intel(R) HD Graphic Family) Display Adapters. In game house windows are foggy, Mirrors are white, and really dark or foggy areas are sometimes white or black depending on shade so any help with this issue for this pc would nice.

I know the fix probably isn't in yet, but this is the first time I've had the black textures, and it's not the gates.<br /> <br />I've been doing the crafting quests, and when I zoned from Phantom Sea back to Tranquil Sea, about a third of the closest island (Death Weave Isle) was black. I was at 827, 125.96, -1300. My graphics card is a NVidia GeForce GTX 660, and I do have the latest drivers.<br /> <br />edit: Okay, this is even more interesting. As I move, textures turn black as I approach. They're fine at a distance, but moving around is making all the land go black before me. It's actually pretty cool, like I'm bringing a plague of darkness or something.

(well, not cool) We've had an instance or two of this internally. Another odd to reproduce issue. However, we <i>think</i> it's due to multiple zoning attempts back and forth between zones. Since you've had this occur as well, can I ask you to try something:<br /> <br />Fly around in Tranquil or Phantom. Fly across most islands, close enough over each to have NPCs/objects pop in. Then fly out of the zone (via ocean) and get ported to the other overland. Fly across those islands and then fly back to the other. Rinse/repeat a few times and see if that produces the radial black terrain. I'll assume after the client is closed/reopened that the zones are fine?

I'll be testing a few more hours; if it happens again I'll definitely let you know!<br /> <br />I didn't reopen the client last night - it happened as I was wrapping up, so I just enjoyed spreading a plague of darkness for a little while and logged off. But yes, when I logged back on today the zones were fine.

I had this issue twice in the past three days. Both times it was right after I used the return to Isle of Refuge, once the character loaded in, the landscape looked like the OPs pictures. I camped to self and seemed to clear it up.

I got the darkness plague again! And of course, again it happens as I'm about to log off.<br /> <br />I've been running around in game since about 12:30 am PDT, so 4 hours or so. Spent time in Phantom Sea (Kithikor island only), Tranquil Sea (Isle of Refuge and South dino isle who's name I can't remember beyond South), Qeynos (both city zones), and a couple other places required by the tradeskill quests. Did swim past Death Weave (yes, swam - no flying mount when you beta buff, at least not TS only), but didn't land there. I camped to myself this time before logging off, and it cleared up.

After using a farseas bauble going from Phantom Sea to Tranquil Sea, it encompasses the entire area where at the beginning you could not fly in and its just the ground texture, in the distance outside the area the other islands looks solid as well as just outside no fly zone.<br /> <br />Zoning to freeport and back fixed it, evac did not, switching graphics settings up or down did not<br /> <br />Geforce GTX 760 (latest drivers)<br />Settings on High quality<br /> <br /> <br /><img src="http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii399/Perfex/black.png" class="bbCodeImage LbImage" alt="[IMG]" />

I just had this yesterday affecting the whole area after using the far seas teleport bauble back from Phantom Sea to Isle of Refuge. Graphic card GTX680 NVidia with latest drivers.<br /> <br />*Edit* exact same as Celidur above. Still couldn't figure out how to take screenies in beta though...

Pretty much every time I use the bauble to port from Phantom Sea to Tranquil sea I get the lovely black ground effect that Jake shows in his picture above. (And yes, I put in a /bug about it.) Camping to self or zoning fixes it.<br /> <br />On the plus side, it really makes shinies stand out, since there's none of that annoying built-in flora in the way! <img src="/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" />

The use of the Highhold bauble gave us an easily reproducable method internally. No ETA on a fix, but thanks for mentioning the steps and in particular, that item. Thanks again for all of the feedback everyone!
