<DIV>I have been playing EQ2 since It came out. No I dont have a lvl 50 toon yet, I have a lvl 46 and a lvl 47 and now I am playing another alt. Why? Because I want to play a class that is in high demand. But now that I sit back and think about it, even if I were to roll a toon that has the highest need (lets say a coercer for arguments sake) most of the high end guilds will already have that spot full with 1 or 2 of that class already. And really, since raid forces are limited to 24 thats all you need is just 1 or 2 of key class's. It is kind of sad if you can see what I am pointing out. A serious raid guild only needs about 25-30 people if all are serious gamers. I guess that is why there is always so many guilds popping up? Because all the spots are full already in most guilds, so in order for people to feel wanted and have a useful roll you have to start a new guild so you can "claim" the needed spots. Even if I were to join a seasoned guild with my guardian, they will already have the "MT spot" filled with 1-2 guardians that will automatically be awarded all the awsome MT loot since they are dubbed the "Raid MT". So what does that leave for us other tanks? I seriously dont think the guild is going to cycle through guardians every other raid so we can feel "wanted". Maybe I am just rambling about nothing, but it just seems if you are not lvl 50 now and in a high end guild and already claimed your spot, you will never be needed. Unless of course you start a new guild so you get first dibs on the prime real-estate. Whats the point of this post? I guess im trying to get everyones opinion about this issue.</DIV>

<DIV>1) research guilds on your server.</DIV> <DIV>2) if you dont want 1-2 mt's geared up over others with no chance join a dkp guild and raid your [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] off.</DIV> <DIV>3) Hard work and fiding good people will make all the difference on what happens to you long turn as for being a mt or mting</DIV> <DIV>4) Alot of guilds let more than just there "mt's" tank. I for one as a guild leader let sk's or any other class tank once we have the mob figured out. Even have had bards tank adds on encounters for us going try a dirge and troubador MTing Drayek and probably Angler this week.</DIV> <DIV>5) Finding the guild you want can take patience but they do exist is a matter of taking the time to find a good system. The idea of just jumping into uberness isnt a good way of finding that though. This is release there are many expansions and changes to come. You will find those guilds who gear up 1-2 mt's will have to change that during expansions for certain encounter wins. EQ1 started out the same way. Clerics / Warriors where all that really mattered for gear but now in eq1 there is no way you can get by with out everyone geared. I expect same thing to happen in eq2 being a assigned loot guild in long run will cause drama and create huge guild turn over rates. It was a proven fact in eq1 i dont see this being any different for that. Just my 2 cents.</DIV>
