My wife and I pretty much dou when we play.. but lately we have been wanting to get more involved with grouping with other folks. The downfall to dou'ing mostly is that we lose out on the grouping "essentials" like what classes do what in a group setup.. I know chanters slow/mezz and such but not sure what all classes primary roles are in a group like what class(s) can slow, mezz give power regen etc.. I am sure two or three different classes can do some the same things like chanters mezz and I believe Bards do also.. Looking for stuff like that too..

Is there a website I can go to to get this info?. We have some catching up to do and any info woudl be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance

Bards / Chanters are my favoritte classes to add to a group. I constantly trio with guard / inq / troubador. The troubador normally plays 3 songs. Swan Song(raises defense all casting and offensive skills) Invig Opus (haste + agi + defense) Power regen song which lets me keep desperate rush up for extra dps easily. Go unhit from lvl 50 mobs easily and just own them. If ever a caster that have wicked strong power drains normally dont ever need a xp group sometimes use it when we trio mobs like Seraph of the Stags etc long fights like that. Enchanter is just a awesome add for the power regen so can grind out skills non stop pretty much.

I find mez kinda useless in a group because adds just give me a reason to use tremor when they normally dont hit me. All classes can add something but i have found adding any Scout or a Summoner class is my favoritte addition to a group when duoing. Trio is probably the best xp out there currently. If using a enchanter would try to add a 4th person like a summoner or high dmg scout.

The only problem i have with a ench + high dmg scout is the scout tends to love over aggroing unless i chain nothing but taunts which lowers dps alot because we actually can add decent dps off of chaining melee skills which is another bonus to bards. They do fair dmg and low aggro unless using HO's. Just my 2 cents on current system which could all change from combat revamp.

Do not know of a specific website but best way to learn about them is to just group with the class a few times and you can kinda see for yourself. Most people generally dont give there class a bad name by how they group. You will find alot of classes differ on aggro by players. Some scouts unload skills back to back making snap aggro on them at times while some keep it spread out and paced. You will find those to be the best groupies. First hand experience owns anything a website will tell you thought IMO.

Message Edited by blueduckie on 07-29-2005 06:18 AM
