new splitpaw loot

<DIV>Some of the new splitpaw loot has +1 to defense.  The bracers i was looking at were +1 to defense but i would have to give up 70 mitigation based upon what im wearing (ebon).  Overall it did not seem worth it to me.  Anyone have any opinions on this new armor?  are there situations this armor might prove better?</DIV>

<P>I know the bracers you are talking about. Engraved Splitpaw bracers or something. Yes it adds a defense point, but takes away a bit of mitigation. I wear it sometimes over my Ebon if when I am fighting, my defense hits a number like 309, or 314, or any number that is one point less than a full level. Because a level is 5 points of defense.</P> <P>So if you have 309 defense, then it would be equivalent to a level 61 character about to ding 62. So put that bracer on and you have 310, which is the base defense if you were level 62. It makes a big difference.</P>
