View Full Version : Duo'ing as a Guardian, and EQ2 tier progression.

Okay, I've got two little unrelated questions here. First of all, I just got me a second account which I plan on using duo boxing my Guardian. Now, my Guardian is already close to 50, so I won't be doing much of exp'ing, but I was hoping of duo grinding 50-60 and pulling the occassional farm session / writ session with a heal bot. That said, what priest would best compliment a Guardian out of the Freeport choices? I am thinking going Warden or Fury, for the mix of damage and healing spells, but I don't have all too much experience in how well priest rank in damage and utility, so any advice is welcome. Other than that, I was wondering if there's any compiled list of current raid mobs in EQ2, perhaps sorted by difficulty rank. If anything, I'd be happy if anyone could point me at the direction of x2 and x3 epics for level 50s, trying to get people into raiding but I'm just not sure where to start ( I believe the last time we actually raided as a guild was a couple of months after PoP released, believe Agnarr is as far as we got )

Right now a Warden will heal you a little bit better than a Fury, but a Fury will do more damage and cause you to do more damage, so fights will go a little faster. Once a Warden hits 45 though they get duststorm which at Adept III gives +12 Defense (at 50) I believe (it's either 11 or 12) which is invaluable (although it does root the Warden). Wardens get evac, Furies get a great group invis (both around level 40).

All things considered I decided to go Warden for my 2 box partner for my Guardian, but the combat revamp is going to change a lot of things so there's no telling at this point how my decision will turn out down the road.

A lot of 2 boxers that wanted a little bit more of a hands off healer prefer reactive healers, so on the freeport side an inquisitor. Might be something you'd also look into. If you have friends who will let you try out their character on your second machine with your Guardian that'd probably be the best way to figure out what you want to play.

- Rorrak

Message Edited by Rorrak on 07-17-2005 12:01 PM
