Playing my main character Corwin, I'm running into a problem in RunnyEye.

Is it just the mobs at the beginning of RunnyEye? Because the Warboars and goblins at the beginning are level 32 and are blue to me. About 50% of the time I'm close to dying or I have to run from them.

I'm wearing a full set of Feyiron Vangard armor (orange to me). My jewelry is yellow to orange.

My base mitigation is 44.2% and my base Avoidance is around 60%.

I'm a little confused. Am I missing out on some buff for mitigation.

Message Edited by Raahl on 07-12-2005 04:35 PM

Most of these are Adept I if not App 4. I might be missing a few. But this is what I can remember off the top of my head.

Dig In

Call of Command

Battle Cry

As a test I hit all the buffs I could think of to add defense and most seemed to only affect Avoidance. My mitigation only seemed to go up 2-3%, so I was still under 50%.

I really have not used Do or Die much. Think it's still App 1. Will look at getting an Adept I.

What monsters exactly are you fighting? If you are having to run from a solo monster 3 levels lower than you, then something is definitely wrong How many are you fighting at once?

When I was at that level in RE, the spawns were completely different, so its not really going to be possible to compare mine and your experiences in there directly. More info would help. Also, check your defense skill, what is it at? Defense does primarily affect your avoidance %. You can also try using a shield - it makes the fights slower but if you have a good one, it can sometimes tip the scales in your favor.

They are blue solo mobs 2 levels below me. At the time I was 34 and they were 32. Perhaps these mobs are just underrated and should be white to yellow?

Goblins and Warboars at the very beginning.

Oh and I am using a Imbued oak tower shield and an imbued longsword.

Message Edited by Raahl on 07-15-2005 08:42 AM
