Fortified Stance and Call of Protection

<DIV> <DIV>Hey all im a 50 Guardian with Fortified stance adept 3 and Call of Protection app4 atm . . </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>QUestion was when I cast them both, they both show up in maintained bar, and stats all go up except defence, Each spell says it adds 12 defence, so that would be 24 total, but instead, i only get raised 12 defence, even when both buffs are in maintained bar, if i click one off, defence doesnt change, if i click both off, it goes back down 12. SHould it now be 24?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, i have talked to a bunch of guardians on my server and they all seem to have the same problem with ANY skill level, this may be a HUGE - 14 defence bug =( Test this out and let me know please!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I tried camping, anyone else have this?</DIV> <DIV>thanks</DIV></DIV>

<DIV>Oh and yes, it seems as ever how many buffs I cast, it wont let me self buff over 275 defence, [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] is up with this? A 12 defence buff adding 1 or 0 defence? /ponder<BR>?</DIV>

Known for some time now that Fortified Stance doesnt add Defense if you have Call of Protection and Return to Battle up. You get the increased mitigation benefit though. I only use it on raids. <div></div>

<P>If Guardian Sphere is the most useless ability we have, then Fortified Stance is the most pointless.</P> <P>1.  The Defense bonus doesn't stack with our group buffs.  </P> <P>2.  The Mitigation bonus doesn't stack with a pally/sk.</P> <P>3.  Both our group buffs and pally/sk's give more then fortified stance.</P> <P> </P> <P>So at the moment the only reason to use Fortified Stance is if you care to debuff yourself.</P> <P> </P> <P>Grondax Ix'Thania of the Shard</P> <P>Level 50 Guardian / Level 50 Woodworker</P> <P>Guild Leader of Genesis on The HIghkeep Server</P>
