Alright, so I know that in the normal group situation, where I am main tank, I will naturally choose to go 1h and shield. However, I'm curious about what my optimal set up is in the following situations: soloing grey mobs for quests, where I never get hit for any meaningful damage, and I want to go all-out best dps possible. 1h and shield seems like an inferior choice in this situation. Should I go for dual weild? 2h? Whichever of the two packs a more powerful punch? Is a faster weapon better because I'll have more chances to hit, making a miss less painful towards overall dps? Also, I have been soloing mobs for my level sometimes, and I pretty much go right through them too. Often times, my hps will be more than 3/5s full by the time I run out of power and need to rest up. This makes me think that I should balance more towards dps when soloing, but again I'm not sure what I should choose: duela wielding or using a 2h weapon. I'm level 22 currently. <div></div>

For soloing greys go with the highest dps weapon you have. You can kind of check that by looking at the damage rating of your 2hander, and if you have 2 dual wield weapons add them together and see how they compare to the 2hander. For soloing, again check the damage ratings and see which setup is higher and go with it, if the damage you are taking is minimal. <div></div>

<P>i did DW till i got a fabled 2H in my 40's... there are just so many out ther to chose from that DW was easier... it also helped me keep slashing, crushing, and peirce capped at all times</P> <P>get the PGT heritage done when you gain a few more lvls... with its power proc and ok damage DW will be the way to go...</P> <P>if you are really serious about finding out what gives best dps get a parcer and just auto attack a few ^^ grey/green mobs... thats your best mesure honestly...</P> <P>Wabit</P>
<P>Trying to remember what level was Shiny Brass Halbeard that you get from Heritage Quest (Dragoon Knaee ?) in Nektulos Forest.</P> <P>That is one heck of a 2-Hander for the level you can get it.</P> <p>Message Edited by Nazowa on <span class=date_text>06-28-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:27 AM</span>

<P>"Alright, so I know that in the normal group situation, where I am main tank, I will naturally choose to go 1h and shield."</P> <P>This is not always true. If you have good armor and a full group then maybe dw or 2h is better, try and see. With a full group the mobs die so fast the damage you take will be next to nothing, talk to your healer. Over time you will get a feel for the weapn you use based on the mob. For the most part I use dw or 2h, for the heavy hitters x2 I will take out my shield and 1h. I (3-5 man group) have done every major zone in the game with a Mystic for healing and used dw or 2h 95% of the time.</P> <P>Use what you like !<BR></P>
<DIV><U>Duel Wield Combo I prefer</U></DIV> <DIV>Darklash (treasured) and Polished Granite Tomahawk (Legendary) are great Slash DW combo. </DIV> <DIV>PGT procs a Ward, Stat bonus and Power bonus</DIV> <DIV>Darklash procs Power drain and Power boost.</DIV> <DIV>(**I got Darklash off of a player vendor. It is a whip with a proc only and fair DW damage rating)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Haste Item (FBSS) and Haste Buff your procing both at a decent interval and nearing the damage of some alot of the</DIV> <DIV>2handers out there. The power return really makes a difference. I use a manastone, appropriate drink and have very little </DIV> <DIV>down time required from chain pulliing solo mobs that are orange and lower (Everfrost, Guardians Gulch).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I keep my Serrated Bone Dirk and handy to increase my piercing and bump up the damage ourput when whacking on grey mobs</DIV> <DIV>for quest purposes.
