Max Def over 270?

<DIV>I've ready numerous threads about guards claiming to get up to 300 def. How do you know this? Is it just from looking at the skills page? Or just addding up how much it woudl be?. I have a 50 Keran guard but on my skills page no matter what my Def skill will only got up to 270/270/. So whats going on?</DIV>

Don't worry about it to much. I doubt you'll be able to do this much longer.

With self buffs you should be able to go 275-278 and with correct classes in grp you reach 300 defense if you made correct trait choices. The rest above this value is from totem like thingies from Bloodlines. With the buffs im using I should be getting 308 solo but its not showing up. <P>from what i understand, return to battle and Call of protectin stack hence they give you +20. do or die and fortified stance don't stack with return to battle and Call of protectin.</P> <P>also return to battle is an upgrade to do or die. i know the hp form both stak but not the defence.</P> <P>if you upgrade return to battle and call of protection to adp3 then i think yo can get extart +3 to defense so in total +23 to defense. </P> <P>if you have the right race then you can get +5 from a racial trait so some people can sefl buff to +28 so that means at lvl50 278 defense</P> <P>you can push it even further but using those Adv pack totems. i think they give about +12 or + 16 but they only last for 60 seconds.</P> <P>I hope what i said is right....</P>

I think the main thing the OP is asking is, when you have over 270 defense, does it show up correctly in your skills UI window.  So, for anyone that's gotten over 270 defense, how do you know that it was over 270?  Did you just add values and assume it was correct, or did your skills window show defense at the proper number? <div></div>

273 max for me selfbuffed as a darkelf, 299 when raiding wihout bloodlines buffs. That 299 is more than enough anyway, no mobs in game yet that need more buffing if you got decent armors. Vilion Xanadu-Runnyeye <div></div>

usually have 299 raid buffed, but most i've had was 316, in skills window
