View Full Version : Fortified Stance and Toughness question
<DIV>I recently noticed when I cast 'toughness' when I had 'fortified stance' up that my mitigation would drop, and vice versa....then when Id cancel one of them my mitigation would shoot back up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From reading the skill descriptions it doesnt appear they should be canceling each other out...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its wierd, youd expect if you have Fortified stance up first then cast toughness and it was indeed cancelling the other out,..that youd lose all the benefits of F. Stance.... but you dont you just lose the amount that Toughness would of given you... so its like they are adding a negative value....but only when the two are up and not when its only one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So my question is, has anyone else noticed this? do you think its a bug or 'working as intended' ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
No one else has tried this?

The defense portion of Fortified stance doesn't seem to stack at all with any of our other defense buffs, and the mitigation it gives is marginal at best. The negative drawbacks hurt more than the gain imo and with the decrease in your combat skills, using the stance can actually hinder the effects of hold the line when you're not striking the mob as much. Without the defense stacking correctly, I'd say only use this in the most extreme of emergencies. <div></div>

<P>It's a toughness bug, not Fortified Stance. Toughness will drop cancel EVERY other defense buff you have and typically lower your defense. It's been that way since launch.</P> <P>I've bugged it several times, then finally gave up and took it off my hotbar.</P>
<DIV>well .. not sure that is a bug :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When u cast EB spells on someone if you cast the shamy and the cleric one, none of em works.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since it happens on endure breath.. it could happen on any other .)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Axor.</DIV> <DIV>50 guardian</DIV> <DIV>Crushbon</DIV> <DIV>www.templarioselite.com</DIV>
