<DIV>After having defeated King Zalak on our very first raid in the very first attempt we went to meet the Arch Lich Udala and decided to say "hello" to him. But he said "Welcome" to us and send us home with our tails between our legs!<BR><BR></DIV> <DIV>I will outline what happened as well as our new plan. I would greatly appreciate any tips or if you can find any major holes in our new plan.</DIV> <DIV>What happed<BR><BR>The only information we had about his was what that he can do poison dmage. nothing else at all.<BR></DIV> <DIV>MT grp<BR><BR></DIV> <DIV>guardian - templar - mystic - warlock - necro - zeker (we could get a bard). my self buff poison was 2.3k. toalt was around 4.3k<BR><BR></DIV> <DIV>We were surprised to see Sakato and Makato but they didn't do too much dmage.<BR><BR></DIV> <DIV>So saw the archmage far away form the Lich so we all went there and killed him even before the Lich got to us. The priest was down but at this point he started to summon the elemental. (we did not have a chanter). We decided to ignore them and went after the original skeleton adds. </DIV> <DIV><BR> </DIV> <DIV>At this point the healers could keep with the heals and the dmage got very bad. in fact the summoned elementals did lots of dmage. I died and the agro went all over the place. it was bloody. </DIV> <DIV><BR> </DIV> <DIV>We tried this tries the same plan again but the healers spam healing me even more. The problem was the original summoned elemental were there but the lich summoned even more. </DIV> <DIV>By the time we gave up, there were about 14 elementals around.</DIV> <DIV><BR> </DIV> <DIV>New plan (with a chanter)</DIV> <DIV>smae as before expect the chanter mez the summoned elementals</DIV> <DIV><BR> </DIV> <DIV>new plan (without a chanter)</DIV> <DIV>all 4 grps kill off the initial adds, archmage priest etc. Then MT grp keep the lich busy and kill him slowly. rest of the 3 grps just kill the summoned elementals so they don't bother th MT grp at all. But the healers from the other grps watch out for the MT. My guess is that if you can resist poison the lich can't really do much dmage so he won't be a threat. </DIV> <DIV><BR> </DIV> <DIV>he did drain lot of my power last time an did some magic damage. i still haven't figured out a way to counter this. I am guessing with high magic resist i can prevent mana drain.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanks guys</DIV>

Hi there, Only tried this mob once before personally and we went through pretty much the same process of trying different strats. Shakuto/makuto were more interesting (a 14k ice coment took me by surprise). One thing I did notice with arch lich is that he seems pretty easy to interrupt. Havent tried him since but he makes it pretty obvious soon as he starts casting might be worth all the mellee try popping a stun as soon as they see him casting, also Im not sure on the state of stifles since inquisitors bought the holy nerf bat from hell in that respect but it may be worth those who can seeing how that works out. One last thing, not sure if they use it or not or if it has any real effect on epic mobs or whatever but I believe warlocks have nullification (sp) which lowers the effective casting level of a mob - one more for the melting pot of ideas there <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Farhane. <div></div>

<DIV>Many thnaks for the tips.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thoug that you can't slow/stun/silecn epics now? I hope atleast our interrupt spell works.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>tbh, the battle was mess. i had him targeted and spaming taunts. it was hard for me to see wht he was doing.</DIV> <DIV>I will try too see if i can spot him casting then i will try to interrupt him.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>IS there any signs i shoudl look for? which will tell m that he is begenning to cast?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>cheers</DIV>
