What is the diff between Health and STA ?

I get confused whenever I see an item with someting like "+4 health". Which is the effect ? Does ist increase the Hit Points as STA do ? Thx Octane <div></div>

<DIV>to start you get lots of HP per sta as sta gets higher you get less HP per sta. example  0-100 sta you get 4 HP per 1 sta,  250-300 sta your only getting 2 HP 1 per.   </DIV>
