While I have been trying to fill out my armor pieces with Ebon I've recently run into a dilemma. Do I got for hit points at the expense of AC? Take for an example the Rubicite Vanguard Barbute I currently use. It has a respectable 183 AC plus 32 health and some resists. Then take a Sootfoot Forged Barbute (158 AC, 11 Stamina, 46 health and some resists). Adds about 120 hit points over the rubicite. Is losing the 25 AC worth the additional hit points?f 1

The link below are my stats with Sootfoot Forged helm, shoulders and gloves.2

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=1050741010 hit points?

Message Edited by ArraSilverhawk on 05-16-2005 02:31 PM

In the long run AC gear will pay off. When you begin raiding the stamina soft cap gets so huge that its useless to go for more hp. If you plan on just grouping and not big time raiding where u break the 9.5k hp cap then go for hp but if ur raiding you should get the mitigation.

Currently all bets are off really. We know there is a major combat system revision coming, including caps on stuffs like defense. So until we see how that work out it is hard to tell what might be best.

I disagree with the previous statement. You can always bet resists/ mitigation will be king. Until a complete heal is implemented is no need to increase healing you need over avoiding more. Make life easier on your healers, they will love you for it.

You need both to raid. Need mitia to take the huge nukes and string of hits, and mita to bring down the hits. Basically I put my best AC armor I can find, but try through race and jewelery to get as much HP as i can.

In the long run AC gear will pay off. - Drakem

Totally agree have noticed more difference in breaking 2800+ AC (no buffs) Vs HP .. Hitpoint's are great butt ac will simply make u take less dmg that stacked with a tank pushing 7000+ hitpoint's buffed himself will make a world of difference in the tanking scene that's what I have gone to figure out =) (this zerker post on yall's forum's cause there's more cooler stuff to talk about) ...hehe

Zerkin Fury of the Shard

50 zerker of oggok

Guild Nerfed
