It is a black golem like form. The only real advanatage I have found is that it makes you very tall, and very obvious. Thus if you use it while raiding, everyone can tell which way our are facing, and where you are.

I do sometimes like that higher view point that you get while using it, so i've been known to fire it up in exp groups when the ceilings are high.

Im not all that far away from lvl 40, so ive been going around in Qeynos lookin for the spell. where do i find it, i havent been able to locate it.

just for fun, can any1 show me a screen shot of one?

most of the fluff spells are just fluff. Crusaders get horses at 20. everyone else gets some cosmetic junk. predators get illusion halfelf at some level. I bet any halfelf assassins/rangers are mighty [Removed for Content] off about that. For the most part, they are cosmetic (even crusaders at 40 and 50), and not even good cosmetics at that. Ill buy rook, because i think it looks cool, but i would never have bought the smokey hand i fI had seen it before I bought it. (perhaps having never seen it should have been a clue that it was stupid looking?)
Try dark elf dirges. They get illusion: dark elf! Then they get to go do a heritage quest that gives them yet another way to turn into themselves...

Rook form is best used on raids. You will be huge compaired to all others. People will have no problems knowing where the MT is. That is when I use it.
The level 50 fun spell makes you look like you've taken a golden shower! Er, wait that didn't come out right...

Form of the Rook is 100 times better than Hand of the Just....

Don't say it too loud, but it probably up there with the most functional fluff spells in the game. When you are trying to control 3-4 mobs, it is so much easier when you tower over them as the "rook". As for it being called a "rook", I guess that comes from the chess piece being considered the defensive unit that holds that lines. I love that it is the form of a Guardian (like the Clay Guardians in RoV) not a castle that slides around looking stupid. The fact that the Guardian form still allows you to see your actions in combat is very, very handy.
