Mitigation Equation

Just found this thread ( http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=7&message.id=5380 ) in another Fighter forum.  They believe they have stumbled upon the actual formula for displayed mitigation: AC / Level = displayed mitigation against even con mob. Was hoping a few folks could verify that. <div></div>

<DIV>Are either of you wearing any gear which adds +vs piercing, +vs crushing, or +vs slashing?  I added those values to my total mitigation and it seemed to be more accurate for me. I was off by .3% and I was using a little different equation.  For me, I added up all the mitigation for all my equipment, added another 240 to that to include the +vs melee stats, then I divided that number by my lvl equivalent to my defense, which would be 51 since my defense is 255 unbuffed.</DIV>

I wouldnt divide by 255... defense is your avoidance, doesn't effect mitigation curremtly. Formula isnt 100%, but divide by 250 and you get it close. I am sure it scales a little, or you would get 100% mitigation at a certain level.. so I assume its some form of exponential looking graph. <div></div>

get a hero wheel and go beyond 4,9k mitigation and youre at 100%, got 5,1 but still 100% ^^so 100% mitigation means the mob only hits you with his base dmg w/o any bonus ? managed to get it in the mjolni encounter which was hittnig for about 1,2-2k previous, and afterwards for about 200-400
